Goddammit, I got one of those stupid Google Redirect viruses again, this time in my Mac (though could be worse, the site I know I got it from -- a redirect from a useful-sounding website to some Russian page -- also attempted to install something further, but thanks to Mac computers requiring a password authorization before adding new software it was unable to proceed in...

Was out walking with my dad and found two freshly dead cats, without obvious marks of violence. I called the New Mexico Animal Cruelty hotline since we figured someone was probably killing cats (either poisoning them or strangling them or something.)
In happier news, I made my first whoopie pies today. I'd only heard of the things before, but lately they're getting mentioned all over...

If your tooth is affected by temperature change, something's up (iced drinks or soup will do the trick). I've never heard of a tooth hurting due to something sweet, though. Maybe that tooth has achieved consciousness.
aristophanes:
Sugar is actually a common aggravator -- it stimulates the nerve, if the tooth is cracked or has a cavity, thus causing an ache.
When I had to flee my sister's house, I ended up leaving part 1 of 2 of my prescription acne medication in the refrigerator at her house, and was never able to retrieve it. Thing is, that Benzamycin is a nuisance to keep (has to stay cold) and it dries out my skin so much -- yet using my Retin-A twice a day instead of...

I never had bad skin as a kid and after I turned 18 it became a nightmare. I get dark spots or scars when I break out as well. And I never know what's going to cause it... I can't remember the last time my skin was smooth. Even if it's break out free if you look close it's got tiny bumps like baby zits growing up!! I've never heard of cystic acne. Actually I haven't been to a doctor about it because it's awkward. But your blog has encouraged me that maybe I should. I'm just broke and not sure if it's affordable...
aristophanes:
The tiny bumps might be congested pores, something like Retin-A deals with those too. I don't know if you've got the cystic kind of acne, but cystic effects deeper tissues than normal acne (which is why is scars so badly.)
My parents and I seem to be constantly going out in order to escape the house here. It is so unpleasant. My grandmother is always watching Mexican TV shows where people are screaming at each other, and seems to be imitating them or something. I've been here about two unhappy weeks now (though admittedly I think I am enjoying myself better than Minnesota all in...

Still no idea what to do with myself. I don't think I want to stay in Bernalillo any longer than necessary -- it's like a more tense version of Jessica's house. It's me and my parents and my grandma and her husband and basically my cousin as well* all living here in a 2 bedroom trailer. I have been sleeping on the dining room floor....

In my grandma's house in Bernalillo. I will probably die from a destroyed immune system from lack of sleep combined with the high arsenic content of the water.
But it was definitely an ill-omen that the old lady I was renting from in Minneapolis had her dog need to be put down the same day as my departure.
So now I have to figure out...

If you need sleeping aids, I have a cornucopia of medicines, and a pink croquet mallet which I would happily post you.
You'd need someone to swing the mallet towards your head, though....

Magician's assistant. Or, Angel of Death for local hospital.
It looks like I'm going back to New Mexico, unless I have some luck and can get run over by a car first. Pretty much everything I'd hoped to avoid of New Mexico is just going on at my sister's here in Minnesota too, with the tradeoff being that I get air in Minnesota but food in New Mexico. I figure if I have to...

sorry... at least the food and landscape are more beautiful there (in parts, at least)...have you checked out Seattle or New Orleans (the former for High Theater, the latter, well you know, the Voodoo Stuff)
aristophanes:
Public transportation in New Orleans I hear is awful; plus it's Mardi Gras this month, so I wouldn't be able to afford a place even if I could find one.
Absolutely nothing about Seattle sounds appealing to me.

Did the commedia play on Saturday. It went better than expected, even if many of the actors were still getting their lines wrong. Much laughter at points which I hadn't even imagined would be funny, which is a good sign. My sister and her boyfriend attended, I'd not seen them since I left their house; it was a good time to meet up again since...

Try living in a nation thats only 220 odd years old.
We do have a good public transport system though, and I suppose if you can find one, catch it, break it and figure out how to keep it, horse riding isn't really that frowned upon.
Excellent to hear the play was a success!

Sweet, the roses.
I still don't understand why, but it remains that the only particularly effective advertising medium I have is to just answer questions on Yahoo Answers and then leave a link to my website in the 'sources.' I only get new customers if I do that. For a while in December I thought maybe my increased blogging was bringing new customers, but in January everything was...

What about your parents? Or are you done with that for now?
aristophanes:
Parents are still living in the spare room in grandma's trailer.
Well, I am moved into a little room in a guest house near the university here in Minneapolis. Things at my sister's suddenly altered and won't be working out anymore: she's still cool. but her boyfriend decided at some point that anything in the house that he doesn't know where it is, I must have stolen or deliberately thrown away. His evidence for this consisted...
