i hate long weekends...
just when i was getting relaxed i started thinking about work again...grrr
k is with her grandparents for a whole week, so we have been sleeping in and hanging out with friends since friday night. i like having alone time with d- we hardly ever get to be by ourselves anymore.
friday night we went to tastefest with steve and jill- electric 6 was supposed to play but they had some sort of family medical emergency thing so they bailed. we watched esQuire instead, who was actually very enjoyable, and wandered about people watching and had some good thai food. we ended up at the majestic- which was empty as fuck due to the tastefest- and bowled 2 games. i am such the accidental bowler.
we went to ryan & nikki's for a july 4th bbq (they shoved a beer can up a chicken's ass and then cooked it- awesome) and met up with a ton of d's old friends from college. i met nathan, a self-described apocolyptic fag who is here right now watching "lost skeleton of cadavra" with d, and got to hang out with de roo, who i love talking to.
i spent all my free time knitting a birthday present for k, which is more than half finished now, and catching up on housecleaning. all in all, a pleasantly lazy and fun weekend.

I caught up on some apartment cleaning on Monday. Saturday, I spent it with my parents, mostly. Took 'em out to dinner.
Sunday, I visited my grandparents. Then went to Luna that night with the SG gang. First time I've been there, and I had fun. Honestly I did, even though I'm not much of a dancer or a drinker.
