Missing Pieces

They were just there. Fragmented but small pieces that make up the whole. Now they are not. Random. No rhyme or reasoning to where they no longer are. Missing pieces. Seemingly irrelevant in the over all scheme of things. Yet their absence binds the functionality of the whole. Voids. Needing to be filled for proper alignment of the mind... the heart... the soul. Little missing pieces

I think...

... might just be broke for good, this time!
... might have run out of reasoning for the rhyme!
... might be succumbing to the torment born inside!
... might have lost the thrill of the ride!
... might find the darkness the best place to hide!
... might just be broke for good this time!

The Machine

Crushed by a mechanism
Of my own design
Gutted once again
But it's supposed to be fine
Tormented inside
Not by guilt but the pain
Falling into the darkness
My hands slipping from the reigns
Initiated the coding
Of my own demise
Wrote the final chapter
So it should b no surprise
The cause of my own suffering
The root of my pain
Yet counting the days
Until I can start it again
