Here comes my much needed day off. I work at a sail boat charter company, we charter out 30-42 foot sailboats for people to take on overnights and just day trips. I have to be there at 7am every day that I work, and it is an honest hour's commute each way. I worked all day Friday, then surfed a little bit after work which I do normally, drove home and then went to the gym, because I felt like I was severely out of shape, and then went to dinner with a really good friend. The next day I worked all day, and about mid day my boss asked me if I wanted to make any extra money, so without much thought I said yes. In retrospect this now seems like a bad decision. I was already really sore and tired because at most I got about 4 hours of sleep the night before. It turns out that I was to be moving all of this really old, heavy wooden furniture from his deceased father's condo into his house so that he could sell the condo, I.E. heavy lifting for me and the other employee. I got home after that at about 11pm, slept until 4am and then tried to go back to sleep until 5, which ended up not working out. Arrived at work to find that the person who chartered the boat that I was supposed to prepare for charter first today had left a whole lot of dishes and a huge mess, I am not a maid, the company does not have a maid, and of course, this was exactly what I wanted in the lackadaisical state that I was in, none the less I finished all of the work I had on my list to do today by about 11, then more was given to me, granted this did include taking someone on their open water sail test, so that they could charter a boat, basically, they take me out on a sail, I make sure they are competent, and then they bring me back - takes about 3 hours - not too shabby on a gorgeous day in Newport. After we got in, I was told to report back to the condo to meet up with my boss for more moving. I told him I could only stay for a few hours. I was home by about 7pm. And now I have the next two days off... well deserved if i do say so myself
