I just got my hair chopped by the most kick ass hairdresser ever!!!
I love Joe...he rocks...we smoke cigarettes, he cuts my hair, and we talk videogames. Its awesome!!!

Last night went over the wonderful Trashy's for a little SGPhilly get together. Many games were played, I laughed my ass off, and I smoked one too many cigarettes.

Today is still up in the...

RE: "Get to know each other" in the GGO group
I had the biggest crush on the fastest knitter in my third grade class. She was so hot. They taught us knitting in school! Weird, huh?

Did you enjoy Las VEgas??

My album choice for today: The Innocence Mission "The Birds of my Neighborhood". I love this album. Its perfect late winter, early spring music.
Unfortunately it has since gone out of print. It is going to be rereleased this year, but no information has yet to come out about it.
My copy was destroyed by our cd drive. I luckily found another copy used in...

I went outside today and regretted wearing a jacket! Hopefully it won't snow tomorrow. Heh.

See you tonight. biggrin

Hmmm... I like the orange one. smile That's funny that you prefer knitting with small needles, the gf prefers them big! (Wait, that came out wrong... wink )

I've had Con te partir in my head since Vegas. The Sarah Brightman/ Andrea Bocelli version. They played it duing the Bellagio fountain show. Since I love this song so much, it made the experience that much nicer.

And its still in my head.

I love Andrea Bocelli, I have his cd with the original version on it.

Anyway...besides hearing opera in my head...i'm fine....

That is awesome. My second ex-husband and I were like that too. Always at the same place at the same time, same friends, without ever knowing. It was creepy as hell.

I'm pissy....and its totally because I'm back on the right coast. Left is the best...honestly! Hanging with my boy's bro always reminds me of Portland....and now I miss it so much its affecting my attitude. Everyday that passes there's a little less keeping me here.

My intestinal issues have passed. I don't know what I had, but man, it made my life a bit hellish...

Hi boys and girls.

I'm not a bad ass, I called out fo work, because I was rather insane on 2 hours of sleep over a 24+ hour period.

The trip was good. Its still all a blur so I can't get into stories right now. I'm a wee bit ill...got some kind of bug while I was there and I'm still feeling the effects...

I'm leaving for Vegas tonight....TONIGHT!

I'm not as much excited as I am paniced...and I don't know why. I almost had a panic attack this morning, and I've been overly anxious and irritable at work.

Just the mood you should be in when staring down a 6 hour plane ride at the end of the day.

I'm sure I'll settle down once I get to...

thanks much for your kind words, and i wish your mom & your family the best as well. it's even more surreal after it happens, which seems right. hope Vegas treated you well, i've had lots of fun there.

my older sister and her two kids live in Cherry Hill, so i have a little philly-area connection now. we grew up in the NYC 'burbs, and my sis has been in the philly area for about 20 years (and my older brother went to U Penn Med school). i like philly, it's not phony at all.

Tonight I pack.

Tomorrow night I leave for Vegas.

I can't even really explain how excited I am.

If anyone has any last minute tips, bring them my way.

Look at my accidental yet nicedesign element!

I'm just so full of gracefulness today.

Too bad its cold.

Ok...keeping that up was insane even for me. Although...in speaking of insanity, I've made a rubberband ball at...

Man, everyone I know is heading to vegas. My manager last week, you, a coworker next week and a friend in the near future. What? Is it fun out there or something? wink
illstabyou:
Your entry has all the signs of someone who's procrastinating packing. smile

Have fun in Las Vegas and at the Maryland Sheet and Wool Festival! I have to ask, does that entail cutting the wool off of the sheep and then knitting something out of it?

I'm so stressed my eyeballs ache.
I got another nasty email from my boss....the fucking prick blamed low sales on forgetting to right 2005 on the letter to our potential clients. I don't use these letters but I'm some how blamed for this slip up and the crappy sales. WTF????
I would have punched him if he were here...honestly.

I got home yesterday to a...

My offer still stands to have an X-men day and haul over a bunch of TPBs and back issues for you to get caught up wink

If you decide to go out and buy some TPBs on your own, I highly suggest Grant morrison's run on "New X-Men". The first book, "E is for Extintction" got me back into buying individual comic issues after 10 years. It is nothing short of amazing. After that run I would suggest picking up Joss Whedon's (yes, that Joss Whedonwink) run on "Astonishing X-Men" only 7 issues deep so far but it's really, really good stuff. The only other X book I read is "Ultimate X-men" which works sorta like the "X-Men: Evolution" cartoon. It is a total retelling of the X-Men story, if thier origin was in 2000 as opposed to 1964. Always well-written. Hope this helps somesmile
akirali:
Just name a day and I'll be there, X-books and tapes of the 90's cartoon in towsmile And I'm replaying through X-Men Legends with my brother now. I'm letting him use all the people I used on my first play through (Cyke, Wolvie, Iceman, etc) and I'm getting to use the people I neglected before. When you get them both leveled up pretty high, Jubilee and Gambit are insanely powerful eeek Especially since I found out how to charge inanimate objects in the environment and make them explode biggrin

Morrison's run was about 2 or 3 years long, and in that time he turned the entire X-Universe on it's head. Hell, he got rid of the spandex! smile I was a litte upset when Whedon put them back in the spandex, but with his take on the book it makes sence. Plus he put Shadowcat back on the team so that makes up for it too smile

I'm not supposed to be here. i'm supposed to be in my pajamas, curled up in bed, with snow falling quietly outside.

8 to 12 inches my ass!!!!

Snow is only pretty when it keeps work closed. Other then that..ew. My shoes are soaked, the bottoms of my jeans are dirty, I almost fell 4 times. Its not lovely out, its dangerous!

Skulls. Go with the skulls for the pillow cases. skull I just love your style! I'd love to have bed linens with say, machetes on them.

You know what the worst part about winter is? When your jeans get wet at the bottom and the water seeps so high that it makes your socks wet and then your legs and your jeans have mud on them and you just washed them but now you'll have to again and wearing jeans the first time out of the wash is all starchy and stiff, not nearly as comfortable as second day and after stuff. skull

wink love you!
bittergirl:
Hey Aponia! the network doesn't have a final title yet, last I heard, but it's a crafty show, as you might suspect. Idol, eh? blush blush blush

You're making pillowcases with skulls? Ooooh, I need some of those, they'd drive my boyfriend's mom crazy! wink

This time of year the local weather people are hysterical....

...Oh my god....the coming snow will kill us all! Get lots of water and bread and eggs and god forbid don't go outside!!!

We're supposed to get 8 to 12 inches. Yes, that sounds like a lot but it will not stop the world from spinning, the sun will rise and set. I mean...goodness. I'm...

8-12 inches of snow only suck horribly when you get it the day before you are supposed to put all of your posessions in a van and move
illstabyou:
Completely oblivious to the amount of snow that we're getting, I went to the super market to get food before just because I have none around and like to eat.

There was this able bodied couple at the register next to me buying an awful lot of canned food. Enough to were you'd say to yourself "... that's a lot of cans." Makes you wonder if they were stock piling for the snow that'll probably melt by the weeks end?
