that's what i do, other than just randomly applying at places. it takes me too long to get into atlanta where i live now, so i've just been trying to find something local. got a job waiting tables, just finished with training. i'm supposed to run food tomorrow night, but last night my mom went to this other restuarant i had applied at around a month ago. turns out they really need bartenders now. i'd have to serve first, but at least i'd get to be behind the bar in the future. i'm going up there tonight to talk to the manager. if i get it, then i get to call in tomorrow and say i'm quitting, but would of course be happy to still run food if they need me to.
yeah, i'm in grad school. i really have no idea what i'm doing there. i just started, but everyone seems so serious. i don't know. they seem to want us to all be the same and produce the same kind of writing. who fucking cares what's "popular" in literature right now. art just shouldn't be like that. i just like learning things. i just want to sit in class and listen and maybe discuss. i don't want exams and projects and oral reports.

uhhhh consultant! for reals. I'd say you'd probably have to have more schooling in something more concrete and practical, but with your analytical skills and whatnot, you could be a good consultant for computer or marketing stuff, i think.
