It sounds like the polyamory (I had to look that word up on google) was a catalyst to trigger a deeper relationship, which sounds paradoxical. While your feelings for another person may not have been reciprocated, I am certain that there would be plenty of volunteers here in SG Land who would gladly take his place and wouldn't let you down.
