I suppose today was a good day. Put together my skateboard, interviewed Matt from The Explosion (not to be confused with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, which would have made it much more than an "I suppose" good day), ate dinner with my parents, bought some magazines....
And now I'm watching the special features on my Once Upon a Time in Mexico DVD. I fucking...

So did you all watch the debate last night? Or, like the Daily Show, do you just not give as much a f*&$k?
Of course, I must wait and see what Jon Stewart said about it tonight, but is anyone else reminded of Mr. Burns every time they look at Cheney?
Mr. Burns vs. John Ritter. Gee, who would you vote for?
Skateboard parts arrived....

What what what??? The JSBX has a new album coming out but they're just called the BX now? Man, am I out of the loop. When you pick that one up, you should let me know how it is... I wasn't overly impressed with the last one, so I'm somewhat wary.

I watched the debate.
Bengals are part wild cat - they are spotted and kinda feral. Totally beautiful, but totally independant.

I finally saw Maria Full of Grace tonight. It was every bit as good as they say it was, and it also made me think, "I can do this." That's the kind of movie that needs to be made, and seen. If you've missed it in your area, rent it as soon as it's available. I promise.
My sister, however, saw The Motorcycle Diaries tonight,...

Yep, and I'm breaking out the Pedro doll. Fuck jinxes--they're only true if you believe 'em...
You missed me, didn't you?
I was busy reading Nabokov, coming up with screenplay ideas, writing letters to the editor about how much Bush sucks, watching movies, ordering subversive stickers, working, and coming up with interview questions for Rise Against and The Explosion. (No, not for SG. You want to read the interviews, keep an eye on Kaffeinebuzz. You could go there right now and...

"Steve Moore continues to be bothered by post-concussion symptoms.
His two cracked vertebrae have healed, but Moore is still suffering from headaches and dizziness that has kept him from skating. Todd Bertuzzi, who is resposible for Moore's injuries, remains suspended by the NHL and will stand trial on January 17th for assault causing bodily harm."

So how ya doin?
Go, Kerry, go.
I am impressed. So much so, that I ordered Kerry bling. Yeah, that's right, I'm a sucker for sparkle. And for someone making Bush look stupid.
But you know, if I could choose one person to run this country right now, it'd probably be Jon Stewart. I mean, really, how great would the world be if we were run by comics?...

I miss Hilton Head!! I used to live in Palmetto Dunes in the summers while I was growing up.. about 3 months out of the year until I started playing high school football and baseball. I usually went back during winter breaks too, which was my favorite time of the year there. I might be back to visit at the end of this month... I haven't been there in 4 1/2 years!

A guy I worked with was in Newport Beach, CA for a show our gallery had and what did he return with... Kerry/Edwards pins! Mine is currently on my SG hoodie
I now own Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind on DVD. Spent my last $26 on it, too. Then ran into the friend from high school from last week once again--the one I didn't know if I should call. We got coffee (chai, in my case) and chatted for a while, and I read the interview with Flogging Molly in Alternative Press. My interview with...

Okay... I'm a total douche but I just wanted to let you know that I always love your posts in the feminists group so I got all warm and mushy when you wrote that you liked my story about holding the door for the old black man.

They had a pretty cool story about your guy Alex Tanguay practicing with the DU Pioneers hockey team since the season is locked out. He seemed really cool with the guys and really was enjoying himself. Also Steve Konowalchuk was practing too
Au revoir, Aussie bartender.
He's off to Hawaii and didn't even make out with me. We did exchange emails and hug goodbye, though, so maybe I got a new friend out of it. There are worse things, right?
I spent most of today looking for skateboard parts at work. Then I got into a fight with the so-called supervisor, who spent most of his afternoon...

i have no idea why women put up with half the shit us guys do. but there are people out there who need something to complain about. not that her complaints aren't valid. but i know of too many girls who need to play the victim. sometimes getting out is harder then getting in. just look at trying to go back to college....
Hmm. I think the Aussie boy is not interested. Or he's extraordinarily dense. I spent several hours last night at the bar chatting with him, though, and I enjoyed it even if I don't get to make out with him. He turned out to actually be a semi-interesting person. So we talked about the Beastie Boys (new album rocks it, in case you are the...

Boys are fucking lame. Have you heard of this? The authours were on Oprah the other day (I know, I know...) and I was watching them thinking "you know, what they're saying makes a lot of sense..." but then I realized that if I followed their dating rules I would probably be single right now, never having forced Trip to go out with me in the first place.
In conclusion, boys are still fucking lame, even the ones who write books about boys being fucking lame.
I've gotta get my wisdom teeth out. Recipes for soft foods will be greatly appreciated.
I ran into this guy from high school last night. Hes waiting tables at the restaurant I went to with my parents. I had a crush on this guy, and we had one of those "we-like-each-other-but-it-doesn't-work-out" things, and I held on to it for a bit too long, but we...

Anything by the Marquis. I have a collection of his short stories, but I've been meaning to pick up a copy of Justine since forever.
I had my wisdom teeth out last fall, I can recount it in agonizing detail if you'd like.
As for food, I ate a lot of Blizzards from Dairy Queen the first few days afterwards. Pudding, popcicles and jello are also good, but for something slightly more substantial I recommend smoothies comprised of 1 part frozen berries and 1 part either grape or cranberry juice... dump it all in a blender and let it go until smooth. Just try not to drink anything through a straw for a while because it can apparently mess up the healing process... something to do with negative pressure and blood clots.

Lord of the Flies by William Golding. i love that book.
Canada has won the World Cup, and the NHL is locked out. Guess I need to find something else to write about.

Nice to see you back 'round these parts . I thought you disappeared .
I know EXACTLY what you mean about the whole chemistry thing . There's a girl that I've been hanging out with lately that is REALLY into me , but I just don't feel anything more than friendship towards her . It sucks .

Congrats on getting your deck all hooked up and ready to go! It's too bad it's fall and not spring, you'd have way more time to skate ahead of you this year...
I refused to get knocked out when they pulled mine. The worst part was the shots, but you don't want to hear about that.
Thanks for the CD! It came in, but I've been crazy busy these last few days with the Transform Columbus Day events as well as PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ON MY NEWLY RETURNED PRECIOUS COMPUTER to spend good time to listen to it!
