I hate when people try to push me to drink. Don't try to use me to make you feel better about your alcoholism, please. I'm sick of your stories about how trashed you were, how you don't remember anything, blah blah blah. It makes me want to never have a drink again. No, thanks. I have never ever done anything drunk that I really regretted later, sober, and I have never blacked out. Partly because my body decides very quickly when it has had enough, and I promptly
the rest, but partly because I like being in control, and I don't think it's cool to not remember what I did the night before. Why do people find it necessary to try to drag me to a bar when I don't want to go?
"and you feel just like Cagney
looks like Rita Hayworth..."
I dyed my hair today. It's red underneath with blonde and red highlights throughout. It kinda looks flame-y. I like it. My hairdresser is cute. She makes me smile.
Everyone should go rent Gilda. It's one of my favorites. Rita Hayworth is so sexy, and she spends the whole film just torturing men. It's great.
Comic-shop boys are so cute when a girl walks in. It's either 100 eager "Can I help you find something"'s or just big smiles whenever you make eye contact. I think if I owned a comic shop I'd be happy. Maybe I should look into it. Of course, then there would be the people I'd want to send home with a real book, but I think being surrounded by comics and toys all day would be good for my outlook on life. Better than being surrounded by waiters who can't wait to get through their shift to have their first drink.
I'm going to end this with something postive. There is one person in my life that makes me so happy with his presence or hearing his voice on the phone that I feel instantly better about whatever's bugging me. If you don't know who you are by now, well, I need to do something more to let you know how much I appreciate you. I do try.
