The Avalanche fired Bob Hartley. I don't know how I feel about this. This franchise is starting to act like the Flyers, blaming everything on one person. We shall see, though. I would rather have them fire Hartley than trade any more good young players away. I think they learned their lesson with Drury.

OOOOO you! Bob Clarke is not the devil! Now, I'm not for firing a coach every few months, but Barber deserved it. Did Hartley? I don't know. The Av's needed a shake up for sure. Both Philly and Colorado have many talented players who are slumping. You need a shake up. What do you do? Trade away talent and take the chance that the traded player come back to bite you in the ass or your new acquisition fails to spark the team (thinking Philly and Adam Oates)? Or do you get rid of the coach? Isn't it the job of the coach to kick the players asses into shape?
