Aoife is still pissed off.
Why today, you ask?
Well, because my so-called friend thinks it's funny to one minute tell me that his friend and I would never get along, that I shouldn't like him, and the next minute give me the little dig in the ribs and say "Hey...I hung out with Jason all day." what the fuck, dude. if I should get over it, stop fucking bringing it up. Not to mention he made fun of my shoes (for the record, spike-heeled pointy-toed black killer boots) while wearing velcro sandals. In Denver. In January.
yeah, I know, why am I friends with someone like that? Because if I didn't hang out with him, I'd have three friends in this town, and two of them rarely have time for me.
And then this guy who I was good-naturedly arguing about hockey with decided to ask me if I liked "ANYTHING." Well, aside from the fact that about every thirty seconds during the game I mention how rad David Aebischer, Steve Konowalchuk, or of course Alex Tanguay are...he got mad at me because he said that I "have to come back from New Mexico tomorrow night because Skoula will be in the bar," and he wanted to talk shit. Well, I pointed out that nobody is actually going to go up to the 6'4 NHL defenseman and tell him he sucks, because no matter how shite he plays, he's still a fuck-ton better than any of us. So then I get the "Well have fun in New Mexico getting high, drunk, or fucking a dirty Mexican." And when I told him not to spew racist shit to me, he got all offended and tried to defend that.
For real, though. Would you say "a dirty Jew?" "A dirty black man?" Then why would you think that it's OK to say "A dirty Mexican?"
OOOOOHHHH I hate people!
So you know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to take all my pissed-off energy to Santa Fe and support Howie Dean with the Punx For Dean crew. Why? Well, because for all the good game Kerry's talking, he still voted for the Patriot Act, the No Child Left Behind act, and war in Iraq. He might be spewing anti-Bush rhetoric, but Dr. Dean's been saying the same shit for a long time. Oh, and he was on the board for Planned Parenthood in Vermont, and after the utterly disturbing statistics on teen and child pregnancy (yes, I consider an 11 year old a child) that I read today, I consider that a very important thing.
So you wanna make Aoife smile? Vote Dean.
And cheer for ye olde New England Patriots on Sunday.
