Today was a pretty good day. I got two CD's and my lovely flower sheets in the mail. What would I do without internet shopping??
I'm in a hip-hop mood lately. One of the CD's I got today was The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I used to have it, and love it, and it was stolen along with the rest of my CD's last year. So I put it in in the car today while driving around scouting locations to move to, and fell in love all over again. I have loved her since I saw Sister Act 2 (don't laugh), and that CD is necessary to my life. Especially Ex-Factor, which never fails to remind me of That Boy.
I also got my plane ticket to Montreal this week! O Canada...here I come. I keep threatening to just send for my stuff and stay there. Unfortunately, the real world interferes. I do plan on taking a drive out to Ottawa while there, to see Ms. Twwly and get tattooed.
I am seriously debating quitting one of my jobs. It makes me miserable, but I make good money. Argh. We'll see how this weekend goes. I've said that for so many weekends this year, though, and I sort of need to bite the bullet and do it. But maybe I need to suck it up for a little longer and keep hounding the hockey-magazine guy.
Nobody replied to my emails this week. No one's returned phone calls today. I'm starting to feel like I've been sucked into an alternate dimension.
I am really due for some GOOD news. Not just making a lot of money one shift good news, or meeting a cute boy to kiss one night good news, but serious step-forward-in-life good news. I am so tired of waiting tables six days a week and being too worn out to do any writing aside from venting in this journal. Someone please, hire me to write/edit/proofread/whatever. There must be a need for me somewhere. The amount of horribly proofread magazines being published astonishes me constantly.

But saying that, I haven't had a job for almost a year and it rocks. I work for myself and I'm not too too bad at it (I guess)
If you're comfortable enough proofreading a technical manual, I may need some q.a. in a few..
