The first Sydney SG meet in a good while was tonight, and it was the first I've ever been to. Present were Azlea, Tahliana, TheFuckOffKid, illbillzillbub up from Melbourne, EliCash, Linz here from Oklahoma and JESL.
Went to the Townie, drank beers, a good way to spend a couple of hours. Good to meet everyone, apart from TheFuckOffKid who keeps sending me pictures of himself dressed as a schoolgirl. Fair enough I suppose.
Let's hope the next Sydney meet is sooner than a year, yah? Yah?
Unfortunately the night involved me spending my last cash for the weekend, so I might have to miss seeing the Hell City Glamours tomorrow.

yeah, private press wasn't as good, but did you really expect it to be? i mean, for some reason people have the expectation that an artist's albums should get progressivley better with each release, but fuck, how do you top an instant classic with an even better album? people get suprised when shadow, rjd2, interpol,etc release sophmore efforts that aren't as good as their debut. i think thats just to be expected, very few artists are capable of surpassing the bar they set for themselves. private press is an interesting and very respectable effort. thats about the best i could have asked for.
