So, I worked nonstop trying to get the server back up these last couple of days. I haven't had that much caffeine since college. I did sort of get into a coding zone for a little while earlier today that was neat. But, I am still kind of depressed after getting back into contact with my old professor.

I wrote a letter of apology to...

So evidently, after drinking with my two roommates the other night, I sent emails to a bunch of old friends, and put up some strange, asshole comments on SG. Now, not only have I pissed off people online, but my old professor wants me to come back and work on Quantum dots with him. This evening an old associate attempted to bribe me into starting...

I sort of wrote my first spider today. And, it works! I have only been getting like 2 hours of sleep per night and coding as well as reading about programming, econometrics, and conformal field spaces. I have also had to monitor our websites while the boss is overseas. Tonight, I just watched a movie and feel like sleeping. Frenzied thinking is fun!

I rolled out of bed, switched on my laptop and have been working at home ALL day. I was thinking of heading over to the Black Cat just for the hell of it, but I just had a couple glasses of wine (and I pretty much just had coffee all day) and I am just sleepy.

Yesterday I went to a gym downtown to throw...

I did volunteer work downtown and have been coding since then. Being a tow-truck driver or forklift operator looks really nice right now. I swear I can feel my eyesight going.

Also, I dislocated my shoulder and then popped it back in after slipping on a piece of paper that was on the front steps. OW, MF!!! I hope I did it right. It just...

So I have been overhearing things from work that I don't think I should be hearing. All the little workings of DC are kind of scary sometimes. But hey, I guess I am not technically involved so they just add spice. The job looks to be a lot more busy than I thought. I spend a bit of time at the office and then have...

I got the job that i guess I wanted. Now I get to work nonstop for a good deal of money (after we release a site) and for a fairly interesting cause. It is nice being around bright people again though. I forgot what it was like to communicate at that speed. Still, it looks like a lot of long nights ahead.

Ugh...still applying for jobs. I finally had a really cool interview though. I spent like two hours talking to this guy who works with some novel software. I forgot what it was like to converse with someone else who is actually driven. I hope I get it. The potential to do something really important with the stuff is huge. I can't stop thinking about it...

Well, the time has finally come. I may have to actually go get a job. I had estimated that I would have to do this much earlier, but that doesn't make it feel any better. I spent about 4 days drinking, watching crappy movies, and sleeping for extended amounts of time.

It is surprising how difiicult it is to find an adequate-pay type job in...

Well, Christmas went marginally better than I thought it would. I got together with a couple of friends and we just wandered around the capital Christmas eve and ate some ethiopian food. Unfortunately, said ethiopian food was not prepared correctly so I got to be quite ill for the rest of the evening. I actually hallucinated and had fever dreams. It was just like a...

It has been an interesting week. Earlier this week Jerry asked me to drink a bunch with him. He assumed that he could outdrink me on account of my being half his size. Unfortunately, he was unaware that I've been drinking wine since I was in the womb. He kept trying to reenact Fight Club (and he's 6'3" and fiftiish so it was interesting). I...

I got a Norwegian wool hat and some comfortable thick shirts from my folks. The prospect of this being my first non-christmas christmas has started to rear its ugly head. When I was wandering through the national gallery today, I noticed that they were putting up little pine trees and the smell caused a good deal of nostalgia to rise up in me. Whatever.
