I learned yesterday that the apartment building in which I dwell has indeed been sold - and the new owners plan on demolishing it. This means I have probably 6 months left there.

Raises the question: Do I want to stay in LA? In California even?

I can write from anywhere and make just as much as it's making me here (pause for chuckle).

Do I keep working a job I hate here which pays well (when I work) - or move & find a steady job that I will hate as well and pays less, but my cost of living will be less?

This is also means giving up my lovely car in September when the lease is up and perhaps having to scale down to something not as nice. 3 years of comfort is enough, don't you think?

So, I really have to decide what really is important to me. What I don't mind sacrificing. Living more simply than I already do.
