Thurston Moore and Jim O'Rourke twice in two days. I thought the first performance was over-the-top until I saw yesterday's. Holy crap, Mom. They were definitely holding back Friday night for fear of destroying their equipment before Saturday's show. I thought I'd seen guitars and amps abused before, but this was a clinical rage unlike anything I'd witnessed before.

yep, i biked afton today. it's pretty rigorous. I did one lap taking most of the alternate routes. got fairly banged up. I almost went for another lap just on the main paths, but remembering all those climbs and the cramp in my right calf overcame me. it has some of my blood and my bike, i will be back to conqeur it.

Nearly perfect summer night.

New semi-legal punk venue/action center, Mala's, opened with a zine tour and four bands - including local heavy stoner T'hieves', and Florida's bouncy folk punk 'This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb'. Wow.
