If you are in the "United Kingdom" then you may like to watch the sky tonight from 11pm until 3am for the best views of shooting star type stuff and the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower! Not sure about other areas of the world, may have passed its peak there already. The Perseids which appear every summer are this year brighter than usual because of the concurrent new Moon. The meteors appear to radiate from a point in the constellation Perseus in the northeastern sky, they can be seen anywhere. I hope I get to see something tonight, I'll be out in the garden.
Last night was National Moth Night. I didn't actually go out and record anything but I'm going to follow one of the suggested ways of attracting moths tomorrow night and see what appears! I think moths are so beautiful. I was at the museum recently and I always love to go back and look at the cases full of hundreds of silvery moths and jewel-like butterflies. I love this one, the wings look like they're made of lace.
