Gems from the ex-con on the #14:
-Harmonious co-existence is an oxymoron.
-Prison causes social retardation.
-Drug users, in order to parlay the social stigma of using, learn to ignore guilt, and therefore are more prone to crime.
Riding the #49 this morning was the most packed I've ever seen: rows five people wide all the way down the aisle, outside people leaning over sitting people all the way down both sides, middle people each side holding the bar, which was sliding forward and back each time the bus lurched, middle people just being held in place by the buffer of people on each side. Somehow, once it cleared out a bit, the guy whose face was 5 inches from my crotch the entire ride still commented on what a beautiful day it was.
