Lovely lovely weekend. Ate half my sandwich on the drive and read The Chalice and the Blade (Eisler) aloud to finklestein on the way to LA. It was OK, after reading the intro and first 1 1/2 chapters, I don't believe I will be finishing it.
We were recieved by a lovely lady, a glass of lambic, and a kitty twosome. Maxx and another kind and pretty lady accompanied us to Bar 107 for last call where we were mezmerized by Foxy Brown.
Saturday went to Farmers Market for breakfast, and shared two pitchers of beer, talked about relationships, checked out the cute girl at the dog treat store, then headed out. Got a ticket on the way for making out with a certain someone in a moving car (not wearing my seatbelt). Back to Bar 107, where we BSed with the bartenders and drank way too much, which pretty much caused the early end to the evening.
Finished off the weekend at the Festival of Books and then food and drinks with Bean, Shalome, and obd. Told the worst rendition of a good story ever. Drove home, analyzing the scenery by smell (mostly cow shit, but oddly enough jasmine at one point) and fell asleep by midnight.

that book sounds great. I will let you know as soon as I emerge from hibernation in a week or two...
