The universe is conspiring against me going to the gym I think. While most people like making with the excuses for lack of exercise, I keep finding my efforts to get there blocked by an invisible wall. Last week I tore over half the muscles in my torso; perfectly good reason to take it easy. I never have time over the weekend, so I made it up a few extra miles on the exercise bike at home. But I knew for a fact that I would go Monday after cutting the grass. Unfortunately, the grass was still a bit wet, and the lawnmower and I had a tumble down the hill. Fortunately, I managed to dodge the spinning blades coming at me, but I spranged my wrist something fierce. Since most of the exercises I do invovle my wrist (get your mind out of the gutter!), I decided that I would go today. That didnt' happen.
Lack of sleep and tortured sinuses are my excuse du jour. The former I blame on nerves and heat, the latter is probably a combination of excessive allergens and the latest pollutant being churned out by the cancer peddlers in the Kanawha Valley. Oh, and there was the other thing: I don't seem to own any dry clothes at the moment. The dryer decided to die while I had a load in it and the washer. I'm compensating with a improvised clothesline and a dehumidifier in the basement until the repair guy shows up sometime in 2007.
Oh well. I'll be out and about tomorrow with any luck, as I'm running out of non-lethal things to keep me home. Provided my luck comes back, that is.
