"In brightest day, in darkest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, BEWARE MY POWER....Green Lantern's Light."
Somehow I doubt that the members of the metal band Darkest Hour say these words before they recharge their power rings. But its such an awesome adage. I had recently noticed a thread on SuicideGirls dedicated to the band so I finally...

Yes! Darkest Hour rules. Great aggressive metal... sounds like... At The Gates! AWESOME almost swedish sounding guitars and production. If only all metal bands would cut their hair, wear trucker hats, and get some nautical star tattoos. Maybe people would like metal again (i kid). Darkest Hour kicks ass. im going to go listen to them right now.

Richard Kern first rose to fame with a series of films starring Nick Zedd, Lydia Lunch, David Wojnarowitcz and many more. This films were seminal [no pun intended] to the underground film movement in New York City and have become quite iconic. Since he cleaned up his life in the late 80s Kern has been a major photographer that has contributed to a number of...

Cool interview.
Mean Creek is going to be one those films like Stand By Me that launches everyone involved into the stratosphere of Hollywood. Writer/director Jacob Aaron Estes has created such a true life tale of horror that you could actually believe that things like this happen every weekend. It stars Rory Culkin, Josh Peck and Carly Schroeder.

i swear to fucken god. most people just speak just to hear themselves talk. i was at a junket today for the new John Sayles movie and we had like a half hour before the talent was coming in and the journalists were bullshitting so loud my ears were hurting. i had to keep quieting them for no reason other than that they were extremely...

Mark Ruffalo is a pretty good looking guy but hes no matinee idol, but that hasnt stopped him from being in some of the best films recently and starring with the biggest actors. From his breakout role in 2000s You Can Count on Me to the more recent Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey and Collateral with Tom Cruise.

We Dont Live Here Anymore is about Jack Linden [Mark Ruffalo] and Hank Evans [Peter Krause] who are best friends and fellow English professors whose marriages are unraveling. Jack is having an affair with Hank's wife Edith [Naomi Watts], while Hank's roving eye has landed on Jack's wife Terry [Laura Dern].

The Catheters will hit you like a hollow spike up the shaft of your penis. It cuts right through you body and soul until it reaches the place where it will fester, your spinal cord. Their music needs to live there to shake, rattle and hum your entire nervous system.

Kenneth Bowser might have been stepping into a world of shit when he decided to direct the film version of the Peter Biskind book, Easy Riders, Raging Bulls. But its a good thing that the movie came out as good as it did.
The movie includes lengthy interviews with many of the major players who either were or came up with the 70s movie brats...

after i read the book, i was sceptical about the idea of a film adaptation for exactly the same reason as bowser outlines in the interview, but i think its testament to his skill as a filmmaker that the end result was just as facinating as biskind's original. i guess he must have had to kiss a lot of ass to get that one distributed, never mind made in the first place!
From talking with Tim Robbins about his latest film, Code 46, it seems like he did not have the easiest time acting in this film. But I think he would do it all over because he has great respect for the director, Michael Winterbottom. But then again Robbins gets to respect his directors because many of them are some of the most brilliant ones ever....

For some reason, a lot of people tell me I look like Tim Robbins. Maybe I do vaguely, but not that much. Nevertheless, I take it as a compliment.
