Alexandre Aja is turning into a great horror auteur. He first broke into the American market with the disturbing thriller High Tension. Now he is releasing his first American horror film, a remake of the classic The Hills Have Eyes. This version casts Silence of the Lambs star Ted Levine as a loving father with a whole town fill irradiated mutants to fight.

The Hills...

I hardly ever get star struck when talking to all these musicians and movie stars. But when Sarah Jessica Parker walked into the room and started chatting, it seemed so unreal. I am still a big fan of Sex in the City and to hear that famous voice responding to my queries was quite exciting.

Parkers new role is in the romantic comedy Failure to...

Prime is a marvelous film. It stars Uma Thurman as a woman seeing a psychoanalyst [Meryl Streep] in New York City. Coincidentally she starts dating her psychoanalysts son [Bryan Greenberg] who is 15 years younger than her.

It is written and directed by Ben Younger who made a 180 from his big splash in the film world with Boiler Room.

hal9000:
My girlfriend dragged me to this film. The way she described it it sounded like "Beaches 2." It was nothing like Beaches, and I ended up enjoying it a lot. If there was an Academy Award for best chemistry between two actresses it should have gone to Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman. Somtimes I had to laugh out loud just because of their facial expressions they made during their uncomfortable situations. smile

When I first called in to talk to Matt Fleckenstein, someone answered the phone Drake & Josh. I got very excited because for some reason even though Im 30 years old I am obsessed with that show. I think that both Drake Bell and Josh are enormously talented plus its created by Dan Schneider, the heavy set dude from Head of the Class!

Aaron Eckhart scared a generation of filmgoers with his misogynistic character in the seminal independent film In the Company of Men. Since then hes played such roles as the sympathetic biker in Erin Brockovich to a fast talking shyster in Paycheck. Now hes playing the be all end all of shysters; a tobacco lobbyist in Thank You For Smoking.

Nick Naylor is the chief spokesman...

Very good interview with Asia Argento, saw the movie and really liked it too.
jeremyscareme:
The Asia interview is really good. You got a lot out of her! Interesting. I got amazing photos on the set last night for you. I sorta jumped in at one point for publicity pix and it went insane. You'll approve.

And arial is the choicest.

Gary Numan is best known to American audiences as the creator of the classic song Cars back in the 1980s. But Numan has never stopped making his unique brand of electronic music. Powerful, deep, hot and cold at the same time Numan revolutionizes music with every new album. His latest is Jagged which is produced by one of the best hard techno producers out there,...

this interview beats the pants off of any vh1 crap

Yeah, really-- good job, courtneyriot. Numan was one of the pioneers of eltronic pop music, and without him goth, dancepunk/electroclash, techno, jungle, industrial, trance, post-punk and hip-hop would of been missing a lot of crucial steps in their respective evolutions; I'm glad see somebody actually giving the man the respect he deserves rather just relegating him to stupid, 'look at the 80's one-hit-wonder' type questions he usually gets tagged with smile

Just to let you know Daniel Robert Epstein did the interview. It was just posted by courtneyriot.

It seems that it is hard to be an extremely popular musician but still be a revolutionary at the same time. Certainly Wyclef Jean disproves that. After The Fugees became a monstrous music phenomenon they stopped making music and they all went on to solo projects with Wyclef being the most successful. Now hes breaking into movies as the drug dealer in the cop film...

Donal Logue is one of my favorite character actors turned lead actor. He first came to recognition with the famous Jimmy the cab driver commercials on MTV in the early 90s. Soon after he started turning in marvelous supporting performances in films like Blade, Jerry Maguire and Men with Guns. His first lead role was in the wonderful indie hit The Tao of Steve which...

grounded for life was such an awesome show. I like the one where they try and steal the christmas tree from the lobby of an office building. classic.

someone should tell the dvd producers that it deserves a better dvd cover than the one they got saddled with. UGH.

People may think that the children of movie stars and musicians have it easy. Well sometimes they do and other times they dont. At the age of 33 Hank Williams III has had quite the colorful life. Hes done nearly every drug you can find. Hes been playing music since he was a kid and after years of being stuck in country western loop hes...

Asia Argento has created a heartbreaking film called The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. It is based on the novel of the same name by JT Leroy and Asia stars in it as Sarah the teenage mother who comes back after four years to take back her son Jeremiah from his foster parents. She and Jeremiah crisscross the country while Sarah continues to use...
