ok this is really superficial and a little embarrassing - i dont know if i'd share this with my friends in real life - so its the perfect use for SG.
i went to go buy jeans yesterday. i've been wearing these levis that i bought 5 months ago and i decided i wanted really tight overdyed black jeans, who knows i might even taper...

well well well,
took a break from real life and went to Atlanta for about 36 hours.
went to a funeral. a 50 something cousin of mine that took his own life. he had been a BAD drunk/addict for the past 20 years or so. I thought he was pretty estranged from the family but it turns out people were kinda in touch with him....

Man, religion and occultic stuff is an obession of mine because it's just infinitely interesting and fascinating--ever since I was in 5th grade and started to seriously question my own religion in, of all places, church camp. In other words...I want to say something on the topic but I know I'd be ranting on forever in a million directions and I won't put you through it biggrin

I'll just simply say that I'm agnostic personally, and I totally understand where you're coming from wink
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Phew,

Catholicism is bad news. My mother was a lapsed-Catholic.

I'm a lapsed-agnostic.

I went out today and I sure as hell didn't see any Chloe Sevigney frown

Parents, definately. You're right though it bodes badly being a parent myself!!

NPR? I guess that's the same as our BBC Radio 4? Yeah I do that too.
I worked in a record/CD shop for most of my life (way waste some time I suppose!) so being around music is kind of a habit though I don't have a musical bone in my body, I'm just an appreciative audience. Pop Classical Alternative Jazz Folk - it's all currency.

What does your Man play?

VT was wet cold and muddy. Early spring up there always reminds me of a girl waking up the morning after a big party. Its kind of naked and ugly looking, another month and things will seem lush and fertile.
i think i took a few pictures, i'll upload them later.
meanwhile here in the city its sunny and gorgeous, i'm starting to feel that...

I love your spring analogy, thats perfect.
I love the optimism of spring, it is my favourite season. Optimistic even though you know your hopes will be dashed!

i find myself unexpectedly in the land of dial-up again untill monday.
its warm and rainy and the man is sick so i expect a relaxing do-nothing week-end.
except for my ethics homework
hopefully i'll have some pictures to show you when i return so you can see what my weekend was like
xo
zcxzcxzcxzcxzxcz:
Good luck with the ethics.
"Ethics homework " sounds sort of like a pun, (or is that just me?)
kenyon:
no, it's not just you, PauloO!

hope you are able to really relax.

Neh, I think people are truly the construct of their contradictions on a lot of levels.

And I would go to assume that it at least partially stems from the fact people will consciously comment on/be critical with/desire/uphold/etc one thing that they subconsciously know they lack.

Hrm..I can't think of a better way to explain it right now and I know that's extremely lacking. I guess an example would just be the classic hypocrite, who says one thing he might honestly believe but doesn't/can't uphold himself. Or you being angry yet still looking for that approval...

Well, this all still feels very lacking as far as making a point goes...

Anyway, happy anniversary wink

kristie:
Wow! Great pictures. Funny how life just flies by...

Happy Anniversary.

I love the apprentice..we have a Brit version as well ...but nothing trumps Trump..there is something kinda wonderful about those smarmy cliche-ridden business-men and women battling it out..some sort of gladiator thing about it I think...a battle of those egos on steriods.
