Looks like 8/17 is the day I'll start loading the moving truck. I think Dorothy will be leaving on the 12th. These last couple weeks are turning out to be pretty hard. I've got a few more things to tend to, including packing, but overall, I feel overly idle and somewhat depressive. I'm used to being engaged in something that makes me feel productive, but now I feel like I'm just sitting around waiting for my relationship to die.
I'm also experiencing some puppy fatigue. He wasn't as much of a housebreaking genius as we thought. He learned fast at first, but puppies this young don't just retain learning without constant reinforcement. I've had to put him back on regimented feeding and watching him closely to make sure he doesn't go in the house. It's working, but it makes caring for the puppy a lot more work.
My parents probably won't take him until the beginning of November, so I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with him for almost two and a half months.

Month to month? With a dog? I don't know of any, but theres probably some around . . . . It would take some investigating. I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, I bet the month to month part will be the most difficult. But with what you are proposing I bet they'll be cool with it. Maybe stress the fact that you have been in their shoes as a landlord. Let me know any potential areas and I'll let you know if its a good idea.
