I know - there is so much about the state of humanity that makes you despair but then you start thinking of all the good people and the wonderful things they do. I suppose life and people are so complex that you can't really nail things down in general terms.

lost a best friend because he chose to be irresponsible and inconsiderate with someone's life and body who I deeply care about. Very upsetting. Very disappointing. I don't think I can ever trust again.
