random post from a who likes tomboys thread that kinda got under my skin
I got to agree with some of the other posters. I'm looking through this thread and i'm seeing a lot of you equate short hair, small chested, boyshorts wearing women to tomboy and butch.
Is that really what your defenition is.
I've always thought of myself as a tomboy. I don't watch sports and i don't fix cars but i love to build and hike and get dirty. I love to sit down and bullshit over beer and pool. My fav. clothes aren't guys clothes but simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt. (torn stained sweatshirt if its cold)
Silly me thought it was about feeling more comfy with the guys then surounded by a bunch of catty girls.
I remeber this time in college when i was in the wood shop finishing a 7 ft. wood sculpture with a grinder and chisel. A girl with short blond hair boys jeans and a jersy came in. She acted all tough but couldnt screw in the leg to a table she was building for her liveing room. She asked one of her "guy" friends to help. Smiled with a cute smile and said what do you expect i'm realy just a girl. I can't do this stuff. My professor and i looked at eachother and walked out (prof. was a AWSOME BUTCH ARTIST) Later in the year Prof. and three other of us female sculptures poured hot multen bronze. You want to see sexy check out a pour done by all women! check out 16ft. wood works of art and a lady in pearls welding. You want to see tomboys look at female tattoo artist and firefighter. Look at the women next to you on the subway thats holding a hard hat. Look at your neighbor when no one else is ~when she's teaching her self to fix the toilet cause her husband doesn't know what to do.
