okay, better late than never, I say.
last weekend was a real wild trip!
on my way out to Portland, my connecting flight from Minneapolis was cancelled, as they had closed the entire portland airport (snow...).
I decided to hibernate in a hotel room.
until, I remembered that blasfemme, one of my oldest friends here, lived in Minneapolis. I called her, and blammo! we had a date. well, she had a date. I got to be her post-date party of one. she was a wonderful time! such a sunny outlook, and funny. I'm only sorry I was so spent and not the best company to match her hosting skills! AL BAKERS FUCKING RULES!! ( but only if you're there with blasfemme...
so, then i was off to Spokane, for a delightful 3 hour layover, and finally into portland! I met up with my Brother, met his darling (daring?) girl and we went out to eat at some crazy tex-mex joint with about two hundred marionettes hanging from the ceiling next to giant taxidemied king crabs and a stuffed , mounted deer ass! hahah. then we went and saw Bubba Ho-Tep at the laurelhurst theater (serves beer and food! Kickass!). it was full of A-C-T.......I-O-N.
intermission.
the next day I woke up early and drove to Seattle for a job, and drove back that night to catch the last half of a football game that I only cared about because it was the hometown team....next day I had a job in portland, and came home afterward to relax.
now, I had been in contact with Nala for about two weeks trying to line up a time to meet, and we had finally decided that Sunday night at Dante's would be cool. I was actually a little nervous (turns out I had no reason to be).
Now, on Sun. nites, dante's has its "Sinferno Cabaret" and let me tell you something: I have never seen anything quite like this. it started with a few fairly tame (albeit HOT) dancers doing old school burlesque moves...then they announced peach, the fire dancer. he was fucking great! doing some good moves, all well timed to the music. then I saw Nala across the bar, looking just as hot as ever. she was with Ruby (former sg herself) and manoman they were good company. both of them very friendly, no attitude at all. then came a fire breathing stripper! I felt like a little kid, entranced. she was probably not even the hottest dancer there, but I will always remember her as the HOTTEST STRIPPER I'VE EVER SEEN. hands down. she torched her top off! she spit clouds of fire six feet long!
. there were more sights...a friend of nalas got up and danced...SG Mia did two sets...there were identical twin sisters who stripped and dry fucked and sixty-nined on stage! my mind was blown. thoroughly blown. I left before closing, although Nala told em later that she too had gone onstage at the end to dance...I probably would have had a stroke if I'd seen that....
I'd say it was a pretty good trip.
