If you take away all the toys, strip us down to nothing, make all the balances read zero, would that make it all riight? I'm really angry. In this world of fantasy begets reality where art imitates life imitating art, can an unmitigated disater be far away? how long before the feedback becomes so deafening that we can all no longer hear anything else? I often think running away would be nice, but ultimately cowardly and self serving, yet I also wonder if the rest of the world is worth my time. people claim caring and curiosity and creativity, only to cough it all up and fall, exhausted by the energy requred to sustain original thoughts.

I am a teacher. I was born with insatiable curiosity and not enough fear to govern it properly. I don't want to give up. I want to rock skulls back on their necks and blow hair back with the power of THOUGHT. why are people proud to be ignorant? why do people mock those who NEED to know things. I couldn't stop if I tried, and I would NEVER TRY.

I'm afraid the revolution will come and no-one will notice. "go back to sleep", the mantra of government and religion has taken a great toll on the ability to form opinion, and the cries of "wake up!!" from the media have become so common as to have no effect anymore. Maybe the only way to get people to sit up and notice has been wasted. shock has become a carnival ride, a Marilyn Manson album, a PORNOgraphic website. we are killing our own children, and only people who will lose thier JOBS if they don't say something mutter platitudes into microphones and return to the golf course. OUR OWN GOVERNMENT IS LYING TO US!!!!!! We are represented internationally by a bunch of hapless thieves who don't even need to cover thier tracks because most people DON'T EVEN LOOK!

Bitter and cynical?

-or-

fired up and motivated....

you decide, I'm counting on you.

Wheredja go? A break from SG, or NE altogether?

I prefer bittersweetly hopeful. The forces of knowledge, wisdom, and good will overcome, my friend, trust in that. Although it is difficult to maintain that belief when you see a kid ask his father what to do with a candy wrapper and he tells the kid to just throw it on the ground. frown Things like that make me want to curl up in my sock drawer and cry for days.

I have been spending a great deal of time at the Arboretum. Everytime I go there I find a new tree that knocks my socks off. Climbing trees is awesome. It makes me think God gave me Hobbit/monket feet for a purpose. Last week I took the ferry out to the islands in Boston Harbor and explored all of the ancient ruins. It is difficult to find a 'swimmable' body of water around these parts, unless you drive up the cape. I've always been a-feared of Boston Harbor. If it touches your skin, you and your children will look like this : surreal

P.S. I just saw Dreams the other day. The foxes' wedding one was fantastic. My only question is, why does Vincent Van Gogh speak english?
