We seriously need an alien invasion of Earth to give us a common external enemy to fight. Human nature just isn't content if it doesn't have some foreign object to fix a suspicious eye upon. The minor wrinkles of sex and race have for the most part been smoothed over in the more polite societies of the world. That leaves the one thing that humans have always and apparently will always fall back on when all other xenophobias fail: religion. My god is bigger than yours. No, mine is bigger, and smarter. Oh yeah? *BAM*

As long as people believe that their god is the biggestest and baddestest and their god says they must convert all the heathens, the killing will continue.

Sorry to say people, try as you might, you will never get the religion out of people. Unless of course you can take the fear of death out of them, which will require a method of proving what happens after death, and that what happens is NOT a trip to some cosmic rotisserie, or an endless subscription to Virgins For Martyrs magazine. The killing will never stop. Blame Israel. Blame Palestine. Blame whoever and whatever fucking god you please, it's never going to stop. It never will.
