So yea, it's christmas and I spent it alone.. I woke up this morning at umm.. like 10am, found a grocery store that was open and went to get some snack food.. granola, soy milk, and bread.. had breakfast, and then my plan for the day considering i was going to be alone was going to be to volunteer at a shelter/kitchen/food bank... But, just as I had planned last night to my suprise no one would take me! I literally called 10 shelters and the food bank and they all said something along the lines of "We don't need anymore help, we have too many volunteers.." So.. wtf.. I thought you could ALWAYS need more help.. but either way I thought that was kind of weird. So that foiled the plans I had on how to spend my time today.. so I decided instead I'd continue to document my mp3 collection in a database I'm building.. Did that for about 2 hours... and fell asleep around 2pm. Slept till about 7:30, and woke up and fucked off around the house till now.

I didn't really get anything for christmas.. my family is poor, and none of my friends really celebrate christmas, so there was no gift exchange.. My mom did make a cute effort to send me some things.. so here are the highlights..

1: Noxzema - Yea.. which i cant use anyways, cause it's got gelatin in it..
2: A drill bit set - Might be useful.... IF I OWNED A GOD DAMN DRILL!
3: EB5 Lotion - Random skin cream?? I'm not usin this crap.. anyone want it?

Oh, she did get me a cool cook book as well.. "The Vuluptuos Vegan" .. so that might come in handy one of these days..

Anyways.. so yea, my christmas didn't really even feel like christmas, but I'm fine with that.. I'm really tired of the whole consumer culture built around this holiday, and everyone's "YOU BETTER BUY ME WHAT I WANT OR I HATE YOU" attitude.. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't get to volunteer anywhere.. I thought that would be really rewarding.. but there's always tomorrow or this weekend.

So now that chrismas is over, all eyes are shifting their gaze towards New Years Eve.. I personally will be here in Portland for NYE trying to have a good time and avoid my ex who will be in town, but then shortly afterwards I'm getting on a plane off to SF for the weekend! I decided a long time ago that I'd rather spend my money on traveling than on electronics and other bullshit, so i'm off on another trip to SF to hang out w/ some friends.. Hopefully I'll get to meet some new friends down there, Sicily, Naiad, SFdeep, as well as some other people.. Lola, Solisis, and maybe s5 and Olivia will make good on their promises and take me to the good Vegan eats in that city.

Whats my New Years Resolution, you might ask? I made a resolution about 5 years ago now not to make any more New Years Resolutions, and I'm still holding true to that.. I've always thought it was really retarded how people wait till this certain date each year to resolve to change something for the better, or do something they have been needing to do.. and I refuse to live like that.. so I don't make resolutions once a year, but instead I try to change what is necessary when it's necessary.. and for that I shall say, if there's something you have been wanting to do, or need to do.. WHY ARENT YOU DOING IT? Don't wait for some stupid ritualistic alarm clock to kick your ass into gear, the only person that's responsible for your actions are you, if you're not happy you have only yourself to blame for that.
