Hello all, just here watching the semifinal game of the Copa America between Brasil & Uruguay, Brasil is up right now 2-1 & the MLB All Star game. Speaking of baseball, I bought a baseball glove over the weekend. I'm not sure why. It's not like I'm gonna lace up my cleats & get out on the diamond any time soon, but it was the same model I always wanted. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I love the smell of it. It takes me back. Back to summers as a kid,staying out til the sun goes down, trying to get one more inning in. Don't get me wrong, I love futbol(soccer)but honestly, I've only been following it for the last 10-15 years while i was practically born w/ a bat in my hands. GOL!!! Uruguay!! 2-2! Gol de Sebastian "El Loco" Abreu. He played a season w/ my beloved Club America.Good for him. Ya gotta show some love & respect for our former players. I'm not pulling for any of these 2 teams but just the fact that this is a GOOD game. El Tri is playing tomorrow in the other semifinal vs Argentina. It's a rematch of sorts from last year's World Cup where we were eliminated by the Albiceleste. I took a friend(actually he's more of my brother's friend) to a bar to watch that game last year and after the game some people got into a bar room brawl. I was pissed we lost but not to the extent of wanting to fight somebody or multiple people. during all the mayhem I was looking out for my brother's friend(I'll keep on calling him my brother's friend cause I don't talk to him anymore. I got tired of his " You're trying to steal my girlfriend" bit. I wasn't.) Anyway I see him reach for an empty beer bottle & chunk it @ some guy. The dumbass isn't even Mexican,he's Honduran. "I just want to be a hooligan"was his reason. I should've just let him get his ass beat.
I had a fucked up day at work after lunch. I work for a company that does accounting for small businesses, mostly Hispanic companies. It's more like a family run business that I got into cause my boss is my brother's girlfriend's dad. Her aunt works there too but she is pushing 70+ years old so she tends to lose paperwork & is very disorganized. I thought I was bad but she takes the cake. We are always having to do things twice because she ends up losing the reports we print out the 1st time. well one of our customers is getting audited & the customer brought some more receipts for the audit. Well she had me add the total receipts he brought in along w/ the receipts we already had.I had a shitload of work to do already & now I had to the auditor's work? WTF!!! I don't know any of the tax laws & what the auditor's responsibilties are, but I doubt they would go by what somebody else came up with. Shit!! That's waht they get paid to do. ADD!!!!
well enough of my ranting. The game is in a penalty shootout & Brasil just missed another shot.Now Uruguay just missed!!!
Brasil just made another shot & Uruguay missed another so Brasil won! Congrats to Brasil & hopefully it will be a Mexico/Brasil final.

While I like Mexico, I really think it should be Argentina and Brazil. We'll see though. You never know. As far as the refs, have you ever noticed that the Colombian refs are horrible?
