This has been a weekend of fun, adventure, and living like a teenager.
Thursday, hung with friends who cooked a beautiful, elaborate feast. Then played wii and played board games till we were all ready to pass out. (side note: I want a wii like whoa. I have never actually desired to get a game console before but holy crap.)
Friday, went to a matinee of The Fountain. Snuck into Casino Royale and then the Tenacious D movie. Perfect timing, awesome goddamned movies, all. (side note: The first one, I daresay you really should watch the trailer first to get the most of it. The second one, I've watched every single James Bond movie, and this is the first one in a very long time that didn't make me wanna wail and gnash my teeth in anguish)
Today, drove down to have dinner with the folks. Mom cooked a damn fine meal in her style (everything starts out semi-prepared), I was impressed. As we were leaving town, checked a couple places for wiis, no dice. Decided to check out projectors at Circuit City. They actually had a room set up to display them! So I think the boy is getting close to a decision. I'll probably end up getting whatever he gets when my TV finally gives up the ghost, as it'll end up being vastly cheaper than a decent-sized replacement TV. And it'll be less than 10 lbs. to move. Winningness all around!
Tomorrow the boy continues his wii quest, and I begin my tree quest. Awwwjeah.

I really should go see Casino Royal while it is still in theatres.
My trick for zen dishes is to use as few of them as possible.
Meh, I need to save the cash for a new compy 5000.
