Let's see if I can recount all the crap that's happened in the last 3 days. Tuesday, found out coworker's mother was killed by a hit&run driver. Found out said coworker had scheduled a presentation that he was not going to be able to do. I offered my services, booked a flight to LA for the next day and whipped up a new and improved bio and an hour-long presentation. Came home, went to yoga class of awesomeness and pain. Hung out with the ever-awesome E and BB.
Went to LA, forgot cell phone. Drove to Thousand Oaks in rush-hour traffic, checked into hotel, got some dinner, passed out. Woke up at dark-thirty in the morning, did my thing, turned around and drove back in not-quite-rush-hour traffic. Got on plane, sat for a very long time. Turns out some guy was "sick", and after much deliberation they decided to take him off, and then we waited some more while they digged around looking for his luggage. Finally got into PDX, and sat for quite a while longer. Turns out we had to wait while the paramedics came in (they were waiting for us when we arrived) and examined the passenger next to the sicko. No clue what was wrong with them, but the second one was sitting with an oxygen mask on when I left. So if you don't hear from me again it's because I got ebola and died.
