Went to the acupuncturist yesterday, she put 3 times as many needles in my face as I've ever had before, but it's a good thing. The pressure's receding a little, and now I have herbs and such to take to help. Still very numb in the cheek/nose/eye, but it's getting better. We're likely past the ER phase.

Holy (*#$&%ing #(*%&. I just talked to Mr. Ex and he's engaged to his last ex-girlfriend. I can't even begin to express how relieved and glad I am to hear this.

No repeats on the surgery. Luckily these days the surgery is done with lasers and is so much better than the old school cut into your face that they did back in my day. It is also much less painful. If it is chronic and no drugs are working I would say go for the surgery.

That's interesting about your ex. After K broke up with one of her boyfriends, he ended up with one of his exes quickly and was expecting a baby very soon after. That still didn't stop him from inviting K to accompany him to some sort of swingers party (which she's never done and wasn't interested in trying). puke He was a sadistic bastard, so I think he may have done it specifically to make her feel revolted.
