Applying for jobs is a pain in the arse. Especially in my industry. While I do get some freelance work, and doing my own hours is nice, it'd be nice to get paid each week.
The recent job I applied for seemed like I might actually get close for a change. But alas, I didn't, and it really pisses me off. Everyone tells me I'm overqualified. So many things to think about when sending your CV to someone. Being a designer, I can never make up my mind if I should do something mindblowing, or keep it simple for them to read.
Whats more is that recruitment agencies get a checklist of what's required, and don't actually know anything else that would appear on a CV, they would just disregard it.
Maybe I should consider going back to study, and doing freelance at the same time. That would work... but then, I wasn't even motivated enough back in high school to study let alone do it 6 years later!
