I've never been surfing before but I hear it's pretty fun. I have an allergy to the sun! Yep, the sun, good old ball of flaming hotness... Can you surf at night without getting eaten by sharks?

Responding to your comment on any serious musician being able to tell the difference between a 5 and 50 thousand dollar studio: Agreed, but likewise, any serious musician can tell the difference between a solid or a weak song, despite the recording medium. Some of my favorite songs from some of my favorite artists (some of which were released on albums predominantly recorded at expensive studios) are done on little more then a cheap home setup. Some respectable artists even mold their sound around this. With artists like Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith, and the Microphones all in the mainstream, lo-fi recording has become some people's preference. I suppose my main point is, if you have some good songs to lay down, you don't need the best gear to get the point accross, especially if your just starting something out. If what you record is successful and does well for you, you can always re-record them at more polished studio. Good luck.
