So while watching the Discovery Channel "tattoos: Beauty, Art Pain" I realized I had at one point wanted a tattoo of Mercury's Staff the "Caduceus" because it was a symbol of healing...

It turns out that Mercury...with his winged shoes and helmet, was really a God of Trade and Commerce.

The True staff of "Healing" is The Staff of Asclepius...only one snake and no wings.

[

Now I'm not sure what I want, because the Caduceus looks cooler as a small tattoo, While the Staff would be more conducive to a large one...at least in my mind...Similarly, I don't want to arouse any confusion...

On another vein...It is not altogether surprising when you look at American Health instituitions and see the caduceus, because of their commercial purpose...While the World Health organization uses the proper symbol. Another thing I find interesting is the tie between This Staff of Asclepis and Moses. Moses used his staff as a conduit for God's will and Power, and even turns it into a snake. Moses fights to protect the downtrodden and enslaved from the greedy Pharoahs, and even while wandering the desert he receives mana from heaven to feed and nourish his people...I don't think there is any doubt as to why moses is so often portayed as a man with a bushy beard and no shirt...it's the same way with Asclepis....

The astonishing things you learn each day? HUH?
