Just came back from a Gin Panic gig at The Catapult Club in New Cross.

I shot some video of their set and I'm reviewing it right now. The sound came out pretty well so I'm pleased with that. Visually, I'm not sure because the lighting wasn't the best...I'll have to play around with it...

So anyway, that's what I did this evening...

What are...

Damn weather. We need the rain but it should do it in the early hours of the morning ARRR!!!
The high winds on Fri-Sun were scary. I was working beneath tall trees & kept my fingers crossed nothing important came down.

Hope things are better! What British dishes do you like? The English cuisine that didn't actually repel me was rather rare (one word: eel puke )

Brighton

Last Thursday evening I went down to Brighton to see Kovak at their free Club Kovak night at The Prince Albert pub. This place is conveniently situated around the corner from the Brighton Train Station so it's easy to find. Also, appearing were Transcargo from London and a quirky Brighton group called Telegraphs. It was pretty good considering there was no entry fee....

Nope, they're not new to Ebay. None of them are, just bad luck for me!

Photos were done by a good photographer friend of mine for my portfolio. I can't take pictures to save my life!

You were in the Ship the week before too? My poor bank balance couldn't cope with that!

Was great to meet you on Saturday and once again, thanks for the map!!

Gigtastic!!!

I went to The Barfly in London to see:

Radar
Action Plan
The Drips

Radar was the first group. They were an interesting Reggae Pop group that used a lot of interesting guitar effects and keyboard loops during their performance. They're talented guys but their stage presence was a little subdued.

Action Plan was next up with more of an indie rock sound and...

It wasn't too bad...

The doctor took a look at my eye with a special microscope. She put in some anesthetic drops and took some samples of my cornea. Then she prescribed some antiseptic eye drops that I'm supposed to take every hour for 24 hours...fortunately, I'm not working now so it's not a big deal to do this.

I have to go in Friday...

Hack! Hack! Cough! Cough! I can't wait to get better!

In the meantime, this list of questions was sent to me by Tanja awhile ago:

1. Seven things to do before I die:

1) Visit Australia, China, Russia
2) Go on a really long road trip
3) Fall in love
4) Learn a different language
5) Buy a house
6) Learn to play the guitar...
