Just run a google search on the man and there are dozens of decent Web sites showing his work and bios of him. There's also a great book called "The Mind's Eye" that I really recommend." Cartier-Bresson wrote it (in part), and it's quite insightful.

have you sent stuff out before, to the popular ones? glimmer train. ploughshares. pif. i loved salt hill, but don't know if it's still around. alaska quarterly. tri quarterly. shenandoah. gettysburg. black warrior. you might have to just take a deep breath and submit to the wind. a good bet if you're starting out is to go to the ezines, just to build up a publishing resume, or journals put out by universities that are local to you.

I AM in DFW, for now. I live in North Dallas, at least until early September. Then, who knows? Somewhere with a decent newspaper.
I have had such an insane week that I don't have the new 97s disc yet. I'm glad to hear it has fan approval, though. I was really impassioned by that show. That show and The Decemberists early this summer have been the best I've seen in Dallas. They give me chills.
