I'm thinking about getting a ticket to one of the Old 97's concerts this weekend at Gypsy Tearoom. Anyone going?
Geeze, I hate to take down the Gen-X post... I really liked it.
I spent tonight helping one of my best friends/long time band mate moving out of his apartment. Where was he moving, you ask? His stuff into my storage space and himself into...

Ways to tell you might be a Generation-Xer:
1) Where your profile says Current thoughts on SG, you have marked Its ok
2) You remember seeing My So Called Life prior to MTV syndication and Titanic
3) You dont yet know what Gen-X is... (an antiquated marketing ploy, of course)
4) You use words like Alternative Rock and Post-Grunge to refer to any 90s rock...

Senator Paul Simon, Democrat from Illinois. He sought the Democratic nomination for president in 1988, but withdrew after having won only his home state's primary. I voted for him anyway. It was the first presidential election I was old enough to vote in.
He was famous for always wearing a bow-tie.

My head hurts. I stayed out all night at my friends going away party. She is leaving for Germany in less than a month. (I think this is the first in a string of going-away parties.) It was good that I went... I got to clear up some past bad blood with her and make amends and all of that.
But otherwise it sucked something...

In the wake of recent car bombings, members of the new Iraqi governmentslated to take power here in a few weekswere asked how they would deal with the continuing problem of insurgent rebellion. Future officials stated they intended to crack down on insurgents. The Iraqi Defense Minister said, and I quote (though translated),
We will chase them from house to house, we will limit them,...

God bless the fucking Murmurs. You rule, 'cos nobody knows them. (Since you do-- do you think kdlang ruined them? Just curious.)
Oh, and Balthus? Shagadelic. ("Shagadelic?" Will you shoot me?
) God bless him, too.

I picked up a Fender Tube amp today, Hot Rod Deville. It screams and wails like a banshee!
Very Pleased :-)
I suppose that's boring to most people, but it made me happy.
I just watched "House of Sand and Fog".... that is the most depressing thing I have seen in a while. Beautifully made... if anyone wants to feel like crying over a fictitious...

Okay, I have to admit that I didn't become a HUGE fan of Slobberbone until I saw them live. The first CD I picked up was Barrel Chested, only because when I saw them the first time I absolutely loved that song. Now I am addicted, and they stopped touring as often as they were last year. I'm going through withdrawal...
Today was my birthday. It was fairly uneventful.
Not to complain needlessly, but Man, have I got some beef....
What I can't stand are guidance counselors/advisors who take little to no interest in helping people. What exactly is the point? Take today for instance. I went down to the school registrar to pick up my graduation check and after looking at it I noticed it had me listed as an English Major. I...

Hey.
I do live in Israel - Do you really live in TX ? : )
Actually lately everything have been calm around here - what you hear in the news isn't always right.
When Israelis go to another country and see the news, we feel so bad being in that country, no matter what news channel we open in what country - everyone is against us.
Showing REALLY old pictures of stuff that happend claming we're still killing, and showing houses that are being re-build, but saying that we are actually tearing it down.
Do you understand what I mean ?
If there's something spesefic you want to ask, feel free.

I have decided to start actually updating this as I could use something to distract myself in the absensce of a summer job. What is standard journal entry material? I have tried to keep a "real life" journal many times in the past, but it never seems to work out for me. I always have huge gaping year+ long gaps. Oh, well. Trying to be...
