It's just snow. Really. It's not going to jump up and kill you. It just sits there on the ground and minds its own business. So please, just relax. wink
mydogfarted:
I'm married to a Canadian. She can't believe the entire world shut down over a little snow.
wsoxfan:
We in the north handle snow pretty well. You should hear what goes on where my older daughter lives in North Carolina. It's total chaos if there.s a couple of inches on the ground.

Holy crap! Chloe on 24 (Mary Lynn Rajskub) looks amazing this season. God, I love her! Oh, and Annie Wersching is looking damn good, too.

Welcome back, 24. Oh, how I've missed you. wink
toxic:
I don't really watch 24 anymore (I work when it's on) but I heard it's really good! Maybe I'll record it on my dvr!
wsoxfan:
I don't watch 24. Never really did. Too many cliches and stereotypes for me.

How are trhings otherwise?

Well, it's 2010. I hope everyone has a great year, and here are some observations:

-I had some painting to do around my condo (small amount), and all I can say is... painting sucks. Sure, it's easy work, but it just sucks.

-Can someone please explain to me what the appeal is of Lady GaGa? Some of her outfits are fun, but that's about it....

Hey! How are you? I tried to send you an e-mail awhile back (I still had your old email addy in my regular non-SG account archives). It didn't work tho.

Hey, happy new year smile

I just saw a Pepsi throwback commercial today for the first time... it's retro because it has actual sugar? Is that the whole idea?

Lady Gaga: I kind of like her because I like to get wrecked and dance to ridiculous pop once in a while. Some of her videos are pretty interesting visually (I like Paparazzi for the fetish imagery and Bad Romance for the Alexander McQueen wardrobe... oh, McQueen, you are expensive and therefore break my heart.) Also, she runs around in latex and reportedly went to the same nerd-camp summer program as me as a kid.

Also, I like painting but dislike paint rollers. It is impractical to paint walls with a brush though, so if I had to paint my imaginary house I'd probably think it sucked too.

I've never cared for the "they bought the title" argument. If money alone, invested in superstar players, could guarantee a title, the Yankees would have forty titles by now. Money has been continuous invested, and only a change in philosophy has resulted in success.

But then I'm only a casual fan. So I don't really know anything.

Thank you for your vote!
I know your real life has been keeping you busy!

Wow, I find myself spectacularly bored at the moment. Yawn. I think I'm just tired. That, and I'm sitting in a crappy Comfort Inn with 7 HBOs... and nothing good on. FoxNews is blasting away at the Senate Finance Committee health care vote, and so is MSNBC. Go figure. wink

You actually watch FoxNews? I think the one thing we can agree on is that we have a large amount of idiots in office if they can vote on a bill that hasn't even been written yet. Thats like saying I'll vote for box A over B for President even though I know nothing about them or who they even are.

This series already has me biting my nails. I can't wait until Friday! smile
delores:
of course you made the cut. we used to talk all the time back in the day.
you mean fox news and msnbc are actually agreeing on something?

No secret that I've been an Obama supporter, but I have to ask, why go to Denmark in a bid to land the Olympics? I mean, I hope Chicago gets it, but at the same time is it necessary to send the President? Isn't the First Lady and Oprah enough? One thing my gf and I have talked about a lot over the past 2...

awwwwh, thank you so much!
sauda:
He was screwed either way. If he didn't go they would have blamed him for the bid loss; while other presidents came and in their own charismatic way, gave heartfelt speeches for their country. Really, it had very little to do with Obama. Chicago's loss has everything to do with a city divided. Any poll you took would come down to just about 50/50 for or against the games coming.

I personally did not want to deal with that here. We can't quite get all our citizens to work on time as is, let alone with the world descending upon the city. Prices would skyrocket, and we already have an incredibly high sales tax rate. Viva Rio! wink
