Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that a number of people from my Friend's List have either been going black or gray, or are planning to leave SG for an extended period of time to deal with some issues (some people have simply decided to dump me from their Friend's List for whatever reason, also). It seems that for some it's about rebuilding relationships,...

Yeah, a lot of my friends don't get the whole SG thing at all, and were even freaked out that I'd invited a lot of sgny peeps to my house for my birthday party. They don't know what they're missing.

Last night I'm flipping around the dial after The O.C. (they gotta get Summer and Seth back together again, this Zach guy is a loser and he's boring me to tears... and they gotta find a way to get Kirsten naked love ), I landed on "Extreme Makeover." They were transforming this punk/goth woman from Kentucky... and it was freaky! She had these bright red dreads...

I think I'm going to call my alter ego Drunky the Clown. Holy crap did I get toasted last night! eeek It's those random nights when things get... loopy. Nearly hooked up with an ex (instead I was the gentleman and listened to her pine over some band geek while she kept thrusting her chest closer and closer to my face); drank a bunch of Busch...

Drunky the clown. Fucking priceless. biggrin

As for the length of the chat logs, I'm sorry but I must insist on keeping them uncut and unabridged. It's how I can keep from having people accuse me of spin. though, I doubt strongly I'll do two chats in the same entry again. Or if I do, I won't do front notes or back notes. Just a short intro and off we go.

But I must keep doing this. It's both fun and informative. If one person reads the entry and thinks realistically about it, then my work is done. And to that end, it must go on.

I am glad, however that you liked it and that you related. it's hard being black and male and not toeing the party line on how to be "black" and acceptable. I just hope that over time we get so less PC that we actually decide that these questions are relevant to ask of EVERYONE.

But I digress. Be sober, be well. Holla back. biggrin

-Damn, must be nice being Jamie Foxx right about now.
-So this fat, stupid guy comes into the bar last night. Never seen him before, but he knows people so he must have been an old regular. I'm making mindless small talk with him, and he says to me, "Who irons your pants?" I was wearing a pair of wrinkled Abercrombie khakis. I thought to...

Over the past several months (actually, probably a lot longer than that), I've grown to really like staying in on Friday nights. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going out, too, but there's something kind of peaceful and nice about taking it easy on Friday. Especially since I work on Saturday nights (including tomorrow, which will be deader than Elvis because of all the stupid...

Yeah, no use calling twice. Back when I was dating, if I wanted to call a boy back, I'd call. I think no one should give out her number if she doesn't intend to call the person back though. What is that?

Wow. Thank you all for the birthday wishes! blush That was truly touching. I spent the day (and night) doing two of my favorite things: watching football with friends and drinking. A lot. wink Just shaking off my hangover now at 3:26pm EST. I guess the older we get, the harder it is to recover. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I hope everyone had fun...

Got hit by a car with I was 13

Don't need the cane 24/7 but since our move I've needed it a lot more. Weather pattern changes and a 3 story house are probably the main reasons along with not getting as much rest as I need.

But I been a gimp for a while. I've talked about it a couple times on the Body Building group and in my journal when I'm hurting. Plus my humbling moment. LOL guess I haven't mentioned it enought to be noticed by you though.

Man, there is nothing better (nor more humiliating) than reading a drunken post from the night before. smile Ugh, I'm an ass, but last night with the SGCT crew at HonkeyKong's show was a lot of fun. I'm bummed because everyone's going into NYC tonight for the SGNY open call party, but I've got to work. frown Which also means I won't really get a...

So, I'm kinda drunk. Not overly drunk, othersiweise I wouldn't be able to post an entyr, but sort of dunr,k. Anywho, I saw HonkeyKong and his band tonight and hung with members ofteh SGCT crew. Much fun! And, WelnTaod hooked me up with a copy of the Grey Album, which I'm listening to now (Jay-z'z Black album mashed up with the beeatle's White album, in...

So I was thinking the other day... what if one of my favorite bands turned up on The O.C.? Would I be happy about that? I love the show (although Jimmy bolting for Maui while Marissa, his brat of a daughter, is clearly in crisis is FUCKED UP!), but as I was watching Modest Mouse perform at the Bait Shop, I got a little... I...

Thank you for your comment again.

I see your point here about cool previously "undeground" bands going mainstream. I would not be happy if the Deftones were on the O.C. (which I don't watch, btw). That would be the wrong market for them! Then again, I've heard some great music on television that they played during the shows. When I used to watch Felicity they would tell the audience about selections they'd played. They do that on Smallville (must be a WB thang!). If you want to get down to facts, the first time I remember hearing Depeche Mode it was during an episode of 21 Jump Street (which I just happened to watch that one time). I think a good band that gets multiple outlets for exposure is lucky. There are so many bands & musicians out there!!! They deserve the recognition of being featured in a more far-reaching medium. I don't agree with the way that Moby edged into popularity. He did sell out to some large companies, which gave him that exposure he needed to go mainstream. I suppose he needed the money back then because he wasn't extremely popular. Any money you can get for your own creations would be nice, regardless of it's origin. I'm thinking from an artist's perspective, not a marketing exec's. wink

Poor Brad and Jen. eeek

Another Friday night with nothing to do. Well, that's not entirely true; I probably could have drummed up something. I wasn't really in the mood to go out, so I stayed in and watched the movie Collateral with Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise. I was surprised at how entertained I was by it, but then again, I shouldn't be because it...
