I may have found a new favorite show... Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Saw the first episode and really liked it. Law & Order is an incredible franchise; I just read that all the shows combined generated $1 billion in advertising revenue last year. That's some fucking cash. Of the 4 shows, SVU is my fave, followed by the original (though Trial by Jury...

Oh, ps - I have a friend who said one day "All I want really is a "sandwich"" - I asked her to explain "I want something that's sitting in the fridge and I can eat it if I ever want to, or not have to if I dont want to." ie: friends who fuck. Friends is good. Some are those not-so-close friends. Try out a few lines like that on the ladies who are not-so-close as to not fuck up your life with meaningless sex. Ask the chicks here, they know far more of the rules about turning a friend into a sex buddy

Y~!

i just saw all sorts of other things too - just look up on yahoo search "fairfield county" and then select "directory" for the search...lots & lots of companies listed under the b2b section

OK, I lied. I have had sex since Gerald Ford was president... once in 1979 during the Carter administration, but she hasn't called me back. I have masturbated a lot since then, does that count? Although, since becoming a bartender, my hands have become really dry and rough from dunking them in water to wash the glasses, which led to my penis breaking up with...

It seems that I can't go a day of SG journal surfing without coming across an entry from a cool, beautiful woman who is lamenting over a troubled relationship with their boyfriend. So, in an effort to help out my SG sistas, I thought I'd give a little insight into the male species to help all you ladies navigate the choppy waters that are men....

Hey. I'm sorry about what happened. But I'm glad you got to meet surfbetty and azreal...they are definitely some funny people! I was with my son that night so I wasn't able to get away. Perhaps there will be another time, under better circumstances...

Anyway, for a laugh, check out my journal today...Photoshop fun...

Yep. Timekiller deluxe, my friend. But I think part of it is the accessability of it - youre alREADY one browser away on job boards.

People do new years resolutions, but I come up with a "theme" to add to my life, instead. This years is "Double out of the Box" - get offline more, get out of home/office more. It's nearly impossible, but Im committed (and also certifiable!)

Y~!

ps- glad you're feeling better

Thank you all for the outpouring of kindness and support over the past week. Your thoughts and words really meant a lot to me and continue to do so.

Following my mother's heart attack last weekend, her health deteriorated rather rapidly, and she passed away on Tuesday. We had a memorial service on Friday, and now I'm back in CT. I was able to see...

That's a seriously touching eulogy my man. It's easy to see what a special woman she was and how she deeply touched the lives of those around her.

I'm sorry for your loss, but having lost many people close to myself as well know that what is lost can only come back to us again in higher ways.

Best wishes to you, your father, and the rest of your family in the coming months/years.

In other news, the Seahawks just resigned Hasselbeck to a long-term deal - what are they thinking? I think you're right, Holmgren is koo koo. confused

I found out today that my mother suffered a heart attack. She's in intensive care at a hospital in Daytona and is listed in critical condition. According to my dad, doctors are not very optimistic. I'm flying down to Florida early Monday morning and won't have access to a computer for a while. Please keep my mother in your thoughts. Thanks and take care.

Continuing on the food thread I started in my previous journal entry, I've been eating baked ziti for a week. puke We had a huge tray of it leftover at the bar (American Legion, 60 County St., Norwalk... if you're interested in stopping in to visit me tonight, Monday night or Tuesday night... please? pretty please?) from the Super Bowl, and I brought it home and...

When it comes to eating, I'm hella weird. It's not that I'm **picky.. well, I mean, I don't think I am but people say I am.. I just have these standards. I couldn't even sit here and write them out, because it'd just be silly.. and wouldn't make sense, probably.

But I have issues with certain textures. And if it touched mayo or contains mayo, get it the fuck away from me cuz ew.ew.ew.ew.ew.ew.
southernbelle:
Yep, I am very impatient!!! I know how food issues go, I do that often. I can eat the same thing for like 12 days in a row, then not want to eat it for months again!!

How was your weekend???

Faithful readers of this space know that I enjoy the occasional 8-12 beers when I go out. No big rub, everyone does it. But here's my problem: When I go out drinking, I tend to want to eat afterward. Having dinner before doesn't really help... gotta chow after drinking. This usually happens anywhere from 12:30am to 3am (in CT, if I'm in NY then it's...

Well, the Super Bowl's long over (congrats, NE you deserved it), so I thought I'd kick it with a new journal entry... hmmmm... uhhhhhh... er... how about those... naw, boring... gee, did you see... naw, that sucks too...

Well, I guess I don't have much to say. surreal Watched Law & Order: SVU this morning (taped it while I was at work last night). The episode...

No way no way. Queen is better than Kansas, too. But Kansas is WAYYYY better than Styx.

Foreigner is better than Styx too. I think I like Foreigner better than Kansas, too. Ooooo...
sarahg:
see. i've heard a lot of people say that, actually. and i mean, i like toto. but still.. i have to give it to queen.. especially on originality points.

(but.. taking other genres of classic rock into account, fleetwood mac wins.)

Thanks, everyone, for the positive reaction to my previous entry. One of the people I was indirectly referring to came back to SG! biggrin

So let's see... what is there to report... not much. Not a bad thing, it's just that life's pretty mellow at the moment. Now that we've had elections in Iraq and the State of the Union, I've been thinking it's about time...
