Thanks for the kind words about my latest freelance assignment.
Who knows whether they'll call me again (I kinda think I pissed off the editor I was dealing with), but at least I can say I've done a couple of projects for the NY Post.
This is random, but if you like magazines (I'm obsessed with them) you need to check out this site. Cheap subscriptions, lots of times waaaaaaaay less than the mag lists in its own pages.
I'm hoping to jump-start one of my job prospects this week. Wish me luck!
So last night at the bar, the crap-ass, old fogey DJ didn't show up. No call, no nothing. Just didn't show. So all these old people looking to hear their boring oldies tunes got the shaft... but I fucking loved it!
This fucktard DJ is one of the commanders at the legion and he's a pompous, mean-spirited, lazy-ass prick that I can't stand. And, he plays the same boring shit every week.
So, all these old people were like, where is he? Shouldn't you call him? And I'm like, listen, he's a grown man and he knows his responsibilities; he's been doing this for years. He's either coming or not. I have no idea where he is.
But, after watching all these people get all bummed out that he wasn't there, I had one of the legion members call him. No answer. Left a message, but we never heard from him all night. Frankly, I hope the jerkwad had a stroke, but I know that's mean. My luck, I'll get in trouble for not being concerned enough or not calling my boss or some shit.
Not much else to report. The rest of my weekend was mellow. Got a chance to knock out another quickie freelance project, and got to hang a bit with EriWren, both of which were cool. This week, I think I need to get stinking drunk one night. Maybe two. And see Batman Begins.
Seacrest out!

If you pay bills and go to work and stuff, you are still responsible.

Sorry.
