So yesterday morning, I'm hanging out at home while overseeing some renovation work on my buddy's condo in the building next to mine when the phone rings. It was the NY Post and they asked me to cruise up to federal court in New Haven to report on the case of a mother/son con artist team who bilked millions out of wealthy investors and even got a building named for them by NYU, who they also scammed. I was kinda cranky and tired, and had plans to go see Batman Begins, but I'm also broke as shit, so I jumped at the chance.
