Question: Are you going to fill out the new dating feature? I'm thinking about it; it's kind of cool, and kind of silly at the same time... I'm not against it, but I wonder if it'll actually lead to anything. 
Would love to hear your thoughts. Plus, I guess if you think I'm cute and you'd like to date me, here's your chance to lock me up before I officially go on the market. 
So, the vice presidential candidates debated and I definitely thought Cheney won. Until the next day when he was caught in 3 separate lies or mistakes: 1.) He'd met Edwards on more than one occasion (to me, this was a bad breach by Cheney because he clearly prepared that answer only to look like a fool when tape surfaced that Cheney swore Edwards in for the senate or some committee); 2.) Edwards Halliburton allegations were correct, and Cheney even got the website wrong that he referred people to; 3.) On several occasions, Cheney spoke of possible Iraq/9-11 connections (on Meet the Press, for chrissakes!), even though he denied it during the debate. And, those are just the 3 mistakes that I heard of; who knows how many others he made?
I generally liked Edwards during the debate, but he was clearly over-matched by a better prepared, and probably smarter, opponent... until the discrepancies cropped up. I wish Edwards had called Cheney on the "never met you" charge, but I'll forgive that.
As the week progressed, the Administration seemed to be having a rough go. Poll numbers are inching in Kerry's favor; the CIA slammed the White House in the Iraq report; Texas Representative, and House Leader, Tom Delay is getting bitch-slapped by the Ethics Committee for alleged Ethical improprieties; more ugly attacks in Iraq; and the Cheney mixups. If Kerry puts on another strong performance tomorrow night, we could see a shift in voter preference in his direction. He won't get many, if any Republicans, but he could start to swing some undecideds to his side and energize some more Democrats. Fingers are firmly crossed.
Got a buddy coming in from Amsterdam this weekend for a wedding. I'm psyched to see him; he works for Heineken and has been in Holland for 18 months (of a 36-month gig). Lucky bastard's played golf in Scotland, went to the Tour de France AND gets all the Heineken he wants.
Yanks and Twins are tied, so I'm happy (wish they were up 2-0, but I figured Santana would pitch well). Giants/Cowboys this weekend... Go Giants!

Quick addendum: Looks like the early consensus of the people who have responded is that they are avoiding the dating feature. I appreciate your comments. Haven't made a definitive decision yet, so pro and con arguments will still be considered. But, I'd have to say that I'm leaning against filling it out.
Oh, and I forgot to add about my Heineken buddy: his apartment is paid for by the company, as is the company car they gave him. Which means his salary goes toward dinners out, traveling around Europe... and probably hash, hookers and strippers (though I have no proof of that).

i have no real opinion on the dating profile - its interesting, i spose. you could find loooooooooooove. what the hell? not in a snary way, tho.
