I was just at the post office and saying to myself "don't cry, don't cry." (A combo of pms and a dildo for a president...again). And I look over and see a woman crying. Damnit! I called someone...and he was on the verge of tears I swear so I started laughing hard and joking and we ended up crying tears of jokes.

This lady in my neighborhod, older black lady, we started chatting. Seems everywhere I go today I see the eyes of sense and sorrow and avoid the cocky staunch Republican bodily gesture (don't even need the eyes). So anyway my neighbor she said "people live with the lies, they have just become accustomed to them" and then she said "maybe this is god's answer to giving us a wake up call." I think she is right.

I dunno, maybe I'm just getting old and cynical and have ceased to have any faith whatsoever in the voting public at large, but I wasn't the least bit surprised at the election result. So much so that I wasn't even disappointed - just shrugged at the inevitability of it all. Besides, would Kerry have been so much better? Isn't party politics just a pointless side-show when we all know it's a handful of superrich corporations that are running the world...?
