Hi again...

Turns out if there's real turnout for this fundraiser I'm singing in, I may well be performing this music, plus more, in December at Joe's Pub. Joe's Pub? Seriously?!? Fuckin' rad, dude.

Maybe getting a second job. Would rather replace the first, don't get me wrong, but I'll take what I can get. As this pay well be dropped in my lap, I'll...

I suspect there's a certain fundraiser I'd have to attend, were I a bit closer to New York. biggrin

I will definitely hope all works out for your laptop.

Whenever you are back next... I shall be glad to "see" you. love
grayness:
I never doubted that you did, actually.
And that would be one reason I like you. smile

Can't stay long. I've been so busy. Still hate my job with an unrivaled passion. What's new is the visiting friend from way out of town (haven't seen him in years), a test in a few weeks that I know nothing of the contents of which I must study for, and a concert I'm performing in for which I am learning very VERY hard music....

Good luck on your test!

Oh, it's better! It really is better!

I've been revising "David's Gods" (remember that one?). I added some things it needed, removed some crap. I'm happier with it, but I will need to hear it read before I'm done with it.

I'll be home alone a lot in the next two months. I'm not looking forward to that, oh no.

But it does mean I...

More "get well" thoughts for you this morning. kiss

The Autumnal Equinox is tomorrow. smile I would hope that's good for some boost of body and spirit.

If wishing counts for anything
Then I would wish you well-
If wishing counts for not a thing
This one hope I still tell:
That you'll be happy all your years
And strong, and given grace;
Until next time you visit here
I shall miss both your words and face.

Cold Songs (a poem)

Cold songs
Wont inform you
Of the night I waited for you
Expecting strange scents
Meant to turn me some shade of green
Or remind you
Of our resurrection (the second)
On that bench in the park
Between tense quiet and
The intent of a hard fuck
Cold songs
Wont make you smile
To think how much better
Your reflection appears...

To consider the injury implicit
In little words spoken in unfortunate sequence
On beautiful days, in beautiful moments

Those words alone would make the poem for me. But I'm still left wondering not so much if I understand them, as if I have ever known the feeling behind them, myself.

I wrote something new last night, but I will have to wait till tomorrow to post.
Being on here is good for me sometimes, you know? Not for the naked ladies, though I love them very much. Not for the groups, as much as they helped me in the past.
It is in part for the friends I still have here.

But it is truly...

Hardcore

then I let you reach for me
your bits to my bytes
my bits to your voice
(a wedding of minds?
if you suppose, that will prove it)
and unyielding mess
for hearts are sexy
minds are dangerous
our lives meant to be more or less intense

shall we?)
and that would be the point, yes?

This summer I discovered three books by my favorite author that I had missed- The Lyonesse Trilogy by Jack Vance. I think reading these on various days, with my Fang kitty lying across my shins and occasionally coming up to chew on the corner of the books would have to be my favorite part of this summer.

It still shocks me that you *ever* thought you didn't have a beautiful face. love

In all their revisions, I think your words are wonderful.

In poetry mood, but would like a little input to make it awesome.

I give you this word, give me the SECOND word that comes to mind:

Hardcore.

(Have fun y'all.)

verbosity to match passion
and pain to match yours
for who said marriage would be easy?

I have nothing specific to blog about. I just felt like being here.

Things I know today:
Self-kindness is the hardest earned.
I love someone very much, and he deserves it.
Mythbusters will always make me happy.
The urge toward poetry is sometimes impressively strong.

Recommend new music to me. Pretty please.

Love to you...

I am always glad to see you here, for any reason. smile Well, any reason that is a happy one for you.

What you say of self-kindess... I don't know that I agree, but I would listen.

It is a good thing you have someone you love. That is a treasure without price.

I've never seen a whole episode. I do believe I am missing out. This will be fixed at some point. biggrin

In my case, yes, I start hearing patterns in words, and they want out. But not now.

How can I deny the lady's request? smile Seek out an artist called Tina Malia...

Perhaps here.

I recommend "Circle of Stones"

Tonight is spent like most of my social nights of late. I'm sitting in my man's best friend's pad, probably about to smoke a ton of weed, drinking a beer and watching random TV. Usually we're at least social with each other, but tonight my gentleman Johnny is playing the new Professor Layton game (which I won but need to beat ten more puzzles in),...

Today I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time ever.

I leave for a weeklong vacation tomorrow. If I borrow a computer, maybe I'll finally get a chance to blog!

Miss y'all.

Love to you...

I hope all is well with you. love

I'd hate y'all to think I stayed down. I wish I had the opportunity to blog more often and share what I'm up to these days! It would probably mean taking even more time taking photos to share and might even result in more poetry, fiction, and other creative writing. It would be a nice way to tackle this zigzagging, perhaps.

So now I'm here...

Thank you guys. smile

I yin and yang so much it sometimes concerns me. I suppose I should be happy for it. The things that cause my depression (monetary concerns, trouble finding new work) have not been resolved in the slightest, but little things like a caring word, lighthearted phone call, or a long giving hug can spring me out, at least temporarily. I'm doing much...
