Plug:

My ferociously bad week is made brighter by this set. Please show it love.

My baby's recovery ain't going so smoothly. I'm perpetually exhausted and drained. He'll anxious, pained, and ill tempered. I have no money and an overwhelming schedule. Also, I'm hungry.

Luckily, I have some good friends.

This pain could last a long time, which could mean a real life adjustment for...

My baby's surgery was today.
What was supposed to be a hernia turned out to be a hydrocele AND and hernia. Gentlemen, I hope you are wincing painlessly.

I waiting in the waiting room from 7:45 till 12. When I finally saw him, I put my hand to his forehead and watched the creases disappear from his eyelids. That was the highlight of my day....

I like visiting New York, but it's too fast paced for me to live there. I'm a Southern boy through and through, and I like our slow pace of lifewink

I underestimated the fear. It's more than being rationally wary of flirtation. I'm getting damned terrified. I'm better at boundaries than I've ever been, and I'm not keeping as many secrets, but the way my past games developed haunts me. I can't think about what happened with Amanda and Jimmy without feeling sick to my stomach sometime. That game ended three separate times, and each...

It sounds like you've grown as a person since your past games. I have faith that you'll do the right thing.

Sorry I haven't been around, but it's been hard to come up with things to say and share whenever I find myself with enough time to post.

The urge to misbehave has struck me, which is bad enough given my now monogamous relationship (remember Allegro, you asked for it), but I only get the urge toward people I already know well which makes every notion...

The urge to misbehave is only natural, and more so for some than for others (I'm looking at you, sex kittenwink). The important thing is to have the character to resist the urge.

I love the imagery of your Mistake Man. That kind of creativity is one of the things that makes you so interesting.
grayness:
I never see mine. He sounds a bit like Humphrey Bogart, though. He never dies, but he frequently gets more bitter.

On good days, he takes a break, and Tom Selleck takes over.

They aren't only about the mistakes, either.

So the theme of my review....
The review is celebrating thirty years of the company, so the theme is all things Parkside. It's numbers and scenes from shows they have done, songs that feature the personalities and history of the company, and songs and bits that celebrate theatre-making in general.
That doesn't sound very exciting, I know (Whaddya want? It's "Parkside Players@30, a Musical Celebration"....

The good news is my sister may not be moving so far away, though she'll still have to move somewhere. She may get herself a full-time gig costume designing upstate (but not TOO far upstate). I'm so thrilled at this notion.

It would completely change her life for the better. It's also the last shot before she simply packs it in and moves south with...

Thanks for the input guys smile

I'm off to bed in a minute. I will TOTALLY share some picture from the new camera this weekend. May not be too sassy yet, but I'll get there. smile

Love to you.
greaser:
I'm always happy to put my misspent youth to good usewink
grayness:
Maybe next time I'll have useful input... wink

I hope you rested well. Sassy or not, I'm looking forward to seeing whatever you choose to do.

And, right back. smile

Just had the first read-thru of Much Ado About Nothing, with two weekends of Animal Crackers left to go. CRAZINESS!

One of my two characters in Much Ado About Nothing spends her first two scenes on E, then comes down hard in her third. If you have had any experience on this charming drug, I'd love to hear it.

What did you enjoy more?...

In my day, back when Kurt Cobain was still alive, we called it Xwink

It always made me feel more social. It was almost impossible to get on my nerves when I was on X. I smiled a lot, and loved everybodybiggrin

It made me feel like getting outside and doing something. Music was especially good on X, and sex? Don't even get me started! Coming down just made me want to sleep.
grayness:
And man! I wish I were closer... I would SO go to see your Much Ado.
I feel deprived.

I haven't disappeared entirely, promise.

My show opens Saturday. I'm all proud of me for choreographing six numbers in five days. I'm pretty sure they look ok too.
This is my first chance to sit at home and relax for a few minutes in over a week, so I'm trying to enjoy it. Mostly though, I'm trying to get a head start on the evening....

Sorry I'm not around.
The choreographer for the show I'm in quit on Monday leaving most everything undone, and the show opens next saturday. I was asked at 11am to choreograph, with the only scheduled dance rehearsal that very evening and 6 numbers to attack. I'm running around like a chicken without a head, since work is also in high techie gear.

I'll be back...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I feel like I'm missing out on experiencing people here fully. There was a time when I was sure we'd be hanging out in New Orleans together, which made me happy, and it's sad to know that won't be happening. It's been like that with a lot of great people I've met here. I interact with them a bit on the boards and in blogs, but it never has the chance to develop into a complete friendship. I guess I mourn the loss of what could, and perhaps should be, but isn't. SG is a little like window shopping when you're broke, and it eats away at me.

greaser:
I think I just have trouble treating friendships differently. I have a hard time drawing a line between online friends and real life friends. I'd probably have an easier time of it if I could do that.
