So, I've been trying to pick what car I'm getting next. I have three as of right now. An old Chevy truck, my old pizza delivery car (81 Volvo) and a VW camper van in Wyoming that was used for... camping. The van is being sold as we speak. My dad is tired of storing it. My Volvo is almost sold as well. So, what to do with the cash... New project!
I had cash in hand for a 53 Cadillac the other day but, I decided that wasn't what I wanted right now. So, I find this completely gutted rust bucket of a 49 Mercury coupe. I want a 49 Merc so so so bad. But, when I looked at it I saw 6 grand at the least to get it on the road. It's ripped up. But, the body is solid, frame is solid.
So, I'm peeking around Craig's List as I'm prone to do and find a 68 Lincoln for $1200. Body is almost perfect, very sound, and he wants to give me an extra 460 for it with like 50k miles. Monday we're going to discuss moving the motor but, it looks like I just may have my next toy. A silver and black 1968 Lincoln Continental. Rear suicide doors included. The beater motor in it now has like 400 hp so, with an extra just sitting around... I'm going to have some fun.
I'm so excited. I think I just peed a little.

Haha, I usually just use grease unless I'm going out, at which point I use a combination of dry wax and some crown.
